Hello all,

While im building my city some buildings now show up as brown boxes with the names "Jungle Drums" & "Barrels of Laugh". Normally i know how to solve this issue, but this one i cannot solve. If someone would be so kind to point me in the right direction, thanks! &apls

Kr,
Nick

Click on the boxes in the game to see the name(s) of the buildings.
Once we know those names, someone (probably) will be able to tell you the name(s) of model file(s) that you're missing.

A picture is sometimes helpful too as I don't recall ever clicking on anything that said 'jungle drums' ...

Crazy_Ivan80 doesn't say what was missing just that it was

Quotemost of the boxes I'm encountering seem to be barrels of laughs, TM nuts, boxes of joy, jungle drums and the likes. There's hundres of those boxes. Does anyone know where to find those props?
EDIT: this has been solved...

:)

The names of the boxes are just "Jungle Drums" and "Barrels of Laughs". Ill make a screenshot this afternoon.

Those are the names of the props that you will see when hovering with the mouse above them.
However, if you click the lot or building itself, you'll get a window showing the stats of it, including its name in the title field on top.
That name would tell us which lot it is that those props have been used on.

Thank you very much! how stupid of me... (did not know I could click the buildings) :-[ Ill try to find the missing buildings later this evening.

Well ive tried to fix the jungle drums boxes, but unfortunately it did not work.... (downloaded the necessary camlot and bat models).

I haven't checked the lot(s) myself,
but these are the prop packs used in the stage 6 and 7 IM lots,
included in CAM Industrials BSC (where the Replogle is included):

Based on the naming of the props I'd put SimGoober highest on the list of suspects...
Thus, I'd first make sure that you have the first dependency listed.
If that doesn't help, check the others and see that you have them all.

RippleJet

Ok... with the help of Barby, who did all the hard labour in locating everything missing...
I think we know where the issue is:

Barrels of laughs, TM nuts, boxes of joy and jungle drums...
those prop exemplars are all included in BSC MEGA Props - Misc Vol02.
That MEGA pack isn't even listed as a dependency, although it should be.
In fact, if you haven't got that dependency, those props wouldn't be seen at all.

However, the models that those prop exemplars are using are NOT included in BSC MEGA Props - Misc Vol02.
They are instead located in BSC MEGA Props - JES Vol01.

If you've got the former (which wasn't listed as a dependency),
but do NOT have the latter (which is listed as a dependency),
you would indeed have brown boxes for those props.

All-in-all, you need to download BSC MEGA Props - JES Vol01. ;)

Yes, necro-posting, I am guilty (weeps in shame, etc). But, THIS is exactly my problem. Just as Eric writes and his picture also. Replogle, the chocolate factory, and more show up with barrels of laughs, TM Nuts, Jungle Drums. I have exhaustively searched for every dependency. I have everything from Tag_one and jestarr I can find anywhere, as it seems it is their buildings affected (99%) industrial. I updated the game, found those two bats for the game itself, ran the tool which claims I have all needed dependancies ... and still am the agonized owner of boxes where none were before I got into jestarr's industrials and then some of T-1's work.

I am sorry if I should not have simply revived his old topic but right down to the picture this is it. I already have the downloads he was told to use. If need be I can name more of businesses which sport boxes now for me. Please just let me know what else I can run down. The trouble seems isolated to industrials.

Thank you for reading :)

Hello RiverDancer

OK ... So lets go over what you have done so far and check you haven't missed anything, you should have downloaded, unzipped and installed the following files

BSC MEGA Props - Misc Vol02
BSC MEGA Props - JES Vol01
CAM Industrials BSC
BSC MEGA Props SG Vol01
BSC MEGA Props CP Vol01
BSC Mega Props jestarr Vol02
BSC Mega Props - JES Vol04
BSC MEGS Props Gascooker Vol01

into your plugins folder, everything bar the CAM Industrials is a dependency, but the CAM Industrials has another six dependency lists, luckily most of them have the same contents, I won't list them all, but you probably need to check you have all of them as well.

Sorry I'm asking you to confirm something you have already done, but without being able to see your plugins folder, its check the basics first before suggesting anything else.

OK. I went through them all again, and then checked all the stated dependencies and sub-dependencies and I have them all. ... including for the CAM... I did find vehicles vol 4 and one other file I was missing, off a German site, but after install, I checked and have the same forest of boxes   &cry2

It affects one J Myers and the others are SG and T1 files, and only a few of those, so it is something not listed I'm thinking. Boxes have names such as: fueling point, warehouse unit, shed, storage shed, fueling station. They attach to lots such as GL Forge (this one is by J Myers), Mika's woodworks (T-1), Emerson Biggins (commercial, by SG I believe), Ganong Chocolate factory (SG, I think?), Replogle Globe (SG) and fabiton concrete blocks (T-1) always and in the same places. So, I'm thinking props, and some file with industrial extras... and I have gone through the lex and downloaded EVERY industrial etc sort of prop file I can find until I posted to beg for help. My poor Sim game loads real slow now lol.

If it is listed, then I missed it due to being cross eyed now from hours of searching, reading and downloading/installing.

I'm about to suggest   :'(  you download something else from SimPeg, its the PEG OPPS Mod otherwise know as the "No more Brown Boxes"

http://www.simpeg.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=185

the problem with having a brown box on top of everything is it also hides the stuff that is OK as well and you can't identify the missing piece, the OPPS Mod gets rid of the box and just leaves a small multi-coloured smudge in its place, hopefully you should then be able to hover over the missing piece and either tell us what it or failing that where it is or take a picture to show us and hopefully we can work out what it is you are still missing.

OK, let us see how this goes. I can't seem to click on it to get the info box open and also take a pic of the screen, so here is what I got as examples, with labels.

... well, it is not going. They are all too large so I guess I need to edit it some to shrink them down. I will find some editing function when I have a bit more time.  ()sad()

Lets see how this works. If it doesn't I will try something else. Edit to add: not real useful so I will find some imaging tool and deal with this in a while. My play time is over now, spent running this box issue down :(

Unfortunately I have run out of day and a good chunk of the night as well so am heading off to     hopefully someone can help you while I'm "off-line"  otherwise I'll see you in the morning

OK let me try gifs to keep them small enough. Edit to add: Thank you for taking the time Catty. Stay warm in all that snowy wet down there! I do promise, if this gets run down, to post what worked here instead of just vanishing and leaving those following to redo the effort.

RiverDancer

This is interesting. The Forge morphed/upgraded. Random lot on lower part is now gone, but the bad Forge prop beside it is also now gone, with the addition of a shed on the other side and more missing props (those also say they are forge items, not random grows). I am still learning how CAM operates so I can't reason through this yet but I sense it will help narrow it down for at least this one issue. I have done NOTHING else since the previous post to it.

catty

I shifted out my plugin folder to a safe place and started out again with a empty folder, installed Install_JMyers_Industrials_Vol 02.zip from the LEX as that has the JM Forge in it, installed the two dependencies from his readme also from the LEX and manually plopped the four lots into a city and this was the result

To be honest this doesn't really help your problem and unfortunately I now have to get ready for work, but ... I'll have an other look at your pictures once I get to work
