I remember when I was able to get rid of the water with a typed cheat phrase and then plop all kinds of things on a river's bank for example and make the water re-appear after having saved the tile and come back.
I can't remember what the cheat was, probably because I haven't used it for years, does anyone know?
Sorry for being Alsheimer these days.... ;) Thanks.

"setsealevel 0" should do the trick if I remember right. I haven't used it in awhile though because I learned a much more useful way to go about it: open your terrain mod up in reader and set the sea level property to zero. Use that to place things below water you couldn't otherwise and then edit it back to 250m after your done--the advantage is that you don't lose all of your bridges and tunnels. There's also at least one temporary mod floating around here that would do the same to your sea level without forcing you to open up the reader.

Have fun  ;)

Is attached a zip containing the temporary solution that Noahclem spoke of. Zero sealevel.dat is what you want. Put it in your plugins when you want no water, take it out when you want water back.

That did the trick, that's exactly the one I was thinking of and always using back then. Thanks a lot, now memory is back....;)

Thanks HappyDays for the linkie, never heard of this one, I just may try it, although I think it will be more practical to use the setsealevel 0 for me since I have a 14 Gb Plugins folder and the game takes 7 minutes to load each time.
Much appreciated for the quick answers!

Actually I had more at one time, (18.2 gigs)  but then the game slowed down too much in bigger and more occupied citytiles and four years ago I had to do a great clean-up. It was the time when my CJ Nexis of Genesis on ST crashed on me.

Where to get 14 gigs of SC4 stuff ?, well if you download everything that looks good and as much as me during the last 8 years,........you would have as much or more.... ;)
