May I file In a request?

I'd really like a map of Toronto, Canada. I have seen 2 or 3 maps on the STEX but they are either not to scale or have poor resolution, therefor after rendering, they will either look pixelated/blocky or way too small of a region.
If someone could remake an accurate map of Toronto and the area around it (preferably the entire GTA, so the map will eventually be dozens by dozens of large city tiles) , I'd greatly appreciate it.

Another question. Most real world maps are made via greyscale heightmaps, not by hand. So I ask, where do you obtain these greyscale maps? I have found some USGS data, but it isnt in greyscale. And there aren't even any heightmaps for other countries such as Canada?

So how do you make the real world maps? By hand? Greyscale Heightmap? Where can I get the heightmaps?
