EP 1 patch won´t even open

First of all, I´d want to thank you for making this possible.
I´m just a newby in terms of SC4 playing, and I´ve recently noticed that the EP1 and BAT patches are needed. I´ve downloaded the first one but when trying to unzip it the program says "Decompression failure". I very much appreciate your help.

Did you get this from steam?  From what I understand, the steam version is updated.  If not perhaps re-download the patch.

If you follow this link, you will get to the EP1 that this site hosts.  You can see various information about what size certain files should be after the update, and this will help you to know if it is installed.  Looking at the list of things it does, perhaps check in-game if Elevated Rail if mentioned in the the traffic graph.
