Greetings all, am new to your site as in posting this message, and wanted some advice. I'm running windows 7 on a widescreen, and just started downloading some of the fine items you folks have made here and on the STEX. My question is I have bldgroup prop dat 1 and 2 in my plugins folder and have installed the update is there anything else I need before I begin to download things into this folder? got some if not all of the maxis addons also.. where should I go from here? I know about the Nam and its add-ons like bridges and rail..don't want to be too overwhelmed by too many mods at once I guess.

Hm, nop, that's pretty much it. Just make sure the nightlights on custom BATs work, can be a bit of a hassle. Especially with RH edition but that doesn't apply so you're probably fine.

Well, I'm afraid being overwhelmed is part of the 'omg this is too good to be true' downloading frenzy that's bound to happen, at least that's what happened to me.  :)
The NAM is a good mod to start with, if not an essential. What more you want to add depends on what you're after; an urban jungle, a quaint rural landscape or something in between, it's all very much possible nowadays. Just take a look around in the MD section for inspiration.

A general pointer though would be to pay attention to and keep track of dependencies, having brown boxes pop up can be frustrating. Making a back-up of your region + corresponding plugins every now and again won't hurt either, just in case some unexpected conflict arises. Having said that, it's pretty much up to you. Have fun
