I'm still waiting for some props for the next scenes at Drumlanrig. So I started working on some new construction sites ... So this is just a little in-between-teaser with some scenes I found while scrolling through that area:

@DerChrischi, nbvc: Thanks a lot
@noahclem: Thank you very much!
@AaronGraham, Kergelen, Kelis, solsystem, rooker: Thank you!

Todays update has nothing to do with horses except the fact that there might have been some on the area of the mine around 1850 ...

This is the Mine of Coalburn. The settlement for the workers will be the theme in one of the following updates. The mine is a product of my phantasy. There really is a coalmine in Coalburn as the name already puts it. But according to Google Earth it seems to be an opencast mine in real life. And that seemed way too complicated to realize without extensive research and BATing ... So I took the miningprops and other props that already have been published and arranged them in a way that seemed to match a mining area which was founded around 1850 and which is still in service.

@noah: To be honest ... this mine area was originally a diversionary tactic to calm myself down when I was close to give up my horse project. I just knew I had to do something very different to be able to continue working on the horse model. So I had a lot of patience because I wanted to have an excuse for the fact that I wasn't working on the horses which I needed for the coming update ... So at least even this has to do with horses although there no horses on the lots ;)

@rooker, flatiron, framly: Thank you very much for your kind comments :)

Today:

The small town named ,,Coalburn". It developed from the 1850s as a railway settlement associated with the local mines.
In 1990 Coalburn was used as a location for the film "The Big Man" (british) / Crossing the line (USA) with Liam Neeson.

Here's my interpretation of this mining settlement with Saturdays get together on the church court after the weeks work is done and with a view over the local farm.

Amazing last two update. &apls &apls &apls

I love the props, rail textures and buildings you use in the mine. Great area!

And the village is amazing. The amount of props and details, the area of the church with tables, the stables and the fields near the village. All is really beutiful and full of activity.

Love all the small details - you always show us something new and cool. The cowboys herding the cows are great (although not very Scottish!) ;)
