After loading my city yesterday I noticed a really strange and worrying bug: all my mass transit stations are greyed out (not servicing) and my city develops a swarm of unemployment zod's. The yearly agricultular report also shows a massive decline in farm workforce. Has anyone ever experienced a similar bug? As my city is rather sizeable (460k people) I would really hate to start over again :(. My seaport and airport is still functioning

Recent changes I made in my city is building a high speed track with WMP´s Art Deco station as 1 hub and the HSRP hub as the other station. But before the error yesterday I already succesfully loaded my city once and no error as described appeared :(.

Attached is a screenshot, where my city has crumbled to 200k people :(.

Hi Hyronymus

I had a city of 1M that lost 200,000 population all at once. I had saved the city a few years prior. The mass abandonment happened the same month and day every time. I sat there and watched several times trying to see something out of the ordinary. To this day I'm not certain why it happened.

I bulldozed the vacant buildings and just let the city run for 75 years. The Sims slowly came back. But I did start watching the Census Repository reports more closely. Keeping available jobs and Sim workforce in better balanced.

Good Luck

Same thing's happened to me, I lost 150,000 sims all at once and my buildings became dilapidated(especially R-$$$). I fixed this by zoning for industries and building a lot of plazas and stuff for C-$$$. Neighbour connections help, too.
It takes a long time to undo the damage, like Jim said.
Nice city, by the way.

Thanks for the replies guys. But did your mass trasnit systems "die" the same way mine did, by being completely greyed out? I cannot help but thinking some plugin caused this :(.

You're right, that's never happened to my mass transit systems. Maybe it's an issue with your NAM?

It seems to be :(. Just tried replacing 2 stations, saving and reloading and then the replaced stations work again. Buw how can they be triggered "grey"?

Hey Hyronymus,

I had this error aswell but in a city with not many inhabitants (about 10k). I replopped all bus and train stations and then it worked again. I thought this mistake was so singular that it wouldn't be worth asking. But as you seem to have the same problem it's probably an issue that should be followed. By the way, the error in my town occured before I had the latest version of NAM. I didn't have it again since.

I didn't have problems with the population. But that's probably due to the reason that those few Sims did not need masstransit very urgently yet ....
