Hello

Just started playing SC with mods, and after playing your awesome CAM mod for a few days I have a few questions I hope you can answer.

Regarding lot sizes, if I build a residential zone with several 1x3 lots, can any of these stick together and make a 2x3 / 3x3 lot by themselves or do I have to make these manually?

Can any of the lots in the left box turn into a 3x2 / 3x3 building?
If they cant, what are the sizes of some of the big ass CAMlots I have seen in the picture thread?

Edit: My Co-$$ and Co-$$$ demands are trough the roof(24000) yet they do not build any of those buildings even though i have loads of commercial zones

Thanks for any help

Welcome to SC4Devotion!

The 3-tile-deep zoning is very good option (for both R and C), as 3-tile-deep lots accommdate a big variety of Maxis buildings, ranging from small houses and shops to hirises (no the biggest ones, but the 2nd big). Check also this thread on Simtropolis.

Ingame lots are no bigger than 4x4 (except for two 5x4 CO$$ hirises, but I think these can grow on 4x4 as well). Many custom content (downloads) lots, esp CAM-elots, are bigger, and some have strange dimensions, eg 5x4, 4x5, 6x4, 6x3 etc. It would be best to zone specifically for them, unfortunately, so you rather need to keep track of the content you are installing.

whatevermind

Yes, lots will naturally clump together or break apart as needed.  While zoning for a specific size building can make it easier to get that building at that site, it's not required.

You can always try to kick up desirability a little.  That and be patient, they might eventually start building.
