Hello, all!

I was playing SC4 and got an error saying that I'm missing a Plugin Pack: 753989692. Now it didn't seem like anything was missing in the game while I played, but I don't know if this will create problems in the future. Any suggestions as to how I can rectify this? Your help is very much appreciated!

Thanks,

Dustin

Usually this wont be a problem and it does happen when you have removed a lot from your plugins that does exist in that city.

Plugin Pack: 753989692.

753989692 = 0x2CF0F83C = 217118780 seconds since 2.2.1997 00:00:00 = 20.12.2003 22:46:20
That's the creation date and time of the missing plugin.
The filename of the missing plugin might also contain the string 2cf0f83c.

Is there any way to track down which Plugin it is by those numbers? Sorry, if this seems like a silly question, but I really don't know anything about the technical end of this stuff.

I was hoping that our Toolman would have stepped in and answered by now...
Wouanagaine might be developing something for that in connection with the X Tool. ::)

However, that wouldn't help you unless the missing plugin was indeed found on your hd.
In other case you would need the help from others to scan their hard discs to search for your missing plugin. :)

I may code something along that line
if it comes true, you'll be able to find what is using this ID and then try to find out the dependencies from a readme or from where you download that lot ( provided the file name is not cryptic )

Divide wouanagaine by zero and you will in fact get one...one bad-ass that is - Alek King of SC4

When I did the clean-up to my plugins folder, that same message appeared me on almost every city tile. I didn't had a problem in opening those cities and find those missing dependencies/plugins. I've deleted the empty lots (lots of them) and replaced them by new zones/plopables and after saving the cities all those messages disapeared. I still have to try other regions like my old Pirineus and New Haven to see if I can still open them.

But if Steff produces that kind of tool, it will be most valuable to find out all that missing stuff. ;)
