I was playing... and i saw something strange... when a query the industry... i saw jobs.. but when i'm trying to see where the worker live.. it doesn't show anything.. like if nobody working there.

And it is possible, to have people working in Coal Plant? And the big Plop from the game?

Thanks

Two types of queries. Standard click and you'll see two numbers ex: 48/60. This is a measure of the desirability of the building and how many people will work there under the current scenario. The second digit shows how many people will work there if the factory is located in an area of high desirability. 48 does not mean there are 48 employed. 60 is maximum jobs available under perfect circumstances.

The other query is the route query.  This is the query that provides the employment number. It is very possible a building grew early in the game like a dirty foundry. You educated the population and all Sims who are now R$$$ work somewhere else. So the building can be anything from empty to a few workers to a lot of workers. It may be waiting for you to plop some grass, trees, or fire protection, to raise the desirability so a high tech factory will replace the old foundry.

Yes. Caveat is that I don't know what coal plant you refer to.

What big plop? Is the coal plant you refer to a plop and not something that grew? There is no guarantee that plopping results in full employment or even partial employment for a variety of reasons.

Good Luck

Hello,

I probably not finding the right word.. i'm french so i'm not too good in english..

I know the utility of the two queries type.. but it is normal when i query a industry with the route query it said.. no worker.. but when i query with the standard one, it say like 20/40. There 20 people working there.. so they have to walk or drive there no?

And for the plop.. i didn't know how to say this.. but the Power Plant.. it is normal no body work there? And if so.. is there something to put people working there like the Landmark Mod? Same thing for water plant, school, and all other thing that we just put in game like that.

Thanks. :) If you don't understand, i will try to put some picture when i get home!

The answer is no ..... you did not understand the previous answer so I'll try to explain better.

Query =  20 / 40
               |     | ___  Means that in an ideal environment to forty people could work
               |                here
               |
               | _______ Means that In the current environment only twenty people will
.                               be able to work here.

Environment = health conditions, education, security (CRIME); pollution: transport;etc ...that influence the desirability.

To see how many people are actually going to work use the query route by clicking the question mark lower down!

Ok..

So if there 20/40... and i don't see anybody with the query route.. it means no body works there..

thanks
