I am in the process of running everything through PIMX on a new install.

Some buildings are used on more than one lot. If the lots are different CAM stages which CAM stage should be used for the building (or should they all be set) ?

Also, if the new calculations set the stage to a non-CAM stage for a building that is, the PIMX does not remove the eg. "CAM: CS$$$ CAMeLot" from the OccupantGroups exemplar. Will this have any ill effects on the game or do I need to delete this in reader?

I've not done much with CAM buildings etc, but can you not create a different building exemplar for the different stages?

I could but when editing everything I plan to install it helps to cut down on things that need to be done :)

I did however read the "CAMeLot Counter and Occupant Groups" thread (don't know how I missed that), and unless I am mistaken the Occupant Groups are only used by the CAMeLot Counter and will have no ill effects on the game if they are missing or wrong.

... Some buildings are used on more than one lot. If the lots are different CAM stages which CAM stage should be used for the building (or should they all be set) ?...

The building Descriptor file (DESC) tells the game how many people are in the building. Let's say 1,000. All the lots have a growth stage. So that building with 1,000 will grow on a stage 12 1X3 lot. That same building will develop as a stage 8 on a 2X3 lot.

A right click of the PIMX will correctly assign the number of people in the building. Insure that garbage, power, and water are consistent. The PIMX will then ask if you want to alter the growth stages of any existing lots. I usually click yes. The CAM Occupant Groups are used by the various counters and the BSC rewards. I think it's fun but other folk say "eh" ... So at this point in time I have a properly functioning lot growing at stages that are consistent with all other buildings in my game. And nothing else needs to be done in terms of function.

But in terms of fun, it can be useful to create a second DESC file for distinct queries. The query can be made to say something like "The Morrison Tower (stage 12)" ... And the other query for the stage 8 DESC would say "the Morrison Tower (stage 8)". The CAMeLOT Counter will count the stage 12 if the CAM OG is added at the end of the process. I find creating a second DESC beneficial.  It requires additional data entry and a trip to the lot editor too.

You will be very happy after your work is through both in terms of a varied cityscape and work load.
