Yes, the mosaic at the end is simply stunning. It really showcases how realistically laid out the city is with the village, railway, farms (those mmp fields!) and dam all working in unison. &apls

Yet another breath-taking update! Wow! I am still in awe at your attention to detail and the realistic feel of this MD! Astonishing! Well done!

"Astonishing" is a good word indeed. I still love those dirt paths waving everywhere in the landscape. And the mosaic shows pretty our journey from last weeks! By the way, I didn't know, that it's possible to squeeze so much from just one tile!

Alan_Waters: ChrisAdam3997's RRP fences- http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1888. Classic those are.

compdude787: Thank you! Although long it is one of the easier mosaics that I had to assemble in the last several entries.

Themistokles: Thanks! I was also considering one of those curvy mosaics where the edges are faded, with a curvy mosaic I could show the entire course of the River Faver in the city tile. Not quite sure how to pull it off in GIMP though...

M4346: Cheers! I like the little details!

kbieniu7: I always cram in plenty with each city tile I complete.

Entry 43: The M143 and Ronley Green

In this entry I go back to Annuq and to the one unexplored area: the suburb of Ronley Green and the M134 which runs along the area's west.

{---}

1.

To the left is Ronley Green and a bit further still the M134.

2.

3.

The south-western corner of Ronley Green.

4.

5.

6.

7.

8.

9.

10.

11.

Going fully diagonal along this avenue.

12.

13.

The start of M134, this is one of two entrance highways, for the M134, in the city.

14.

And a better perspective.

15.

Ronley Green Park.

16.

17.

Some fancy middle class housing.

18.

The western end of Ronley Green Park.

19.

I used Paeng's parks to build Ronley Green Park.

20.

21.

And to the right is the smaller Trangler's Park.

22.

23.

Busting out the diagonals!

The next entry goes back to Faverdale for more rural pleasures, after that it is the city of Garforth where I up the ante with urban design.

kbieniu7

The first shot is incredible! The general ambience, the tone of colours, tree lines it looks a bit like a real photo, like the blocks, housing etc. grew off from a real ground. I really like the layout, that's what looks the best in further views - the roads, and the shapes of blocks and skyscrapers. The diagonal avenue is nice as well :)
Thank you for visiting Kolbrów, and for being for last ten years!

Great work! I especially like the park and how it interacts with the diagonal avenue. Delecto's housing also fits beautifully in that kind of surrounding.

Really good job

I like the feelings of these pictures which are quite realistic. Good use of flora

And I agree that Delecto BATs are fitting perfectly in this scene and this park is lovely  &apls &apls

Awesome as always!! One thing I'd suggest is to make sure there aren't any trees poking up onto elevated highways.

I love how the park and the diagonal highway turned out--top notch! You have a really nice selection of lots and great-looking, well-built neighborhoods  &apls

Superb set of previous updates. You're one of the best city builders we have and the attention to detail is much admired. I really like the general look and feel of your towns and cities, they have strong elements of realism while still being attractive.

kbeiniu7: Thank you! In Annuq I paid attention to every single building in the city which was a first for me.

Gugu3: Cheers!

Themistokles: I love symmetry and it's great there are so many diagonal BATs and LOTs to achieve this. Also Delecto's housing makes for perfect R$$ filler.

Girafe: Thank you!

compdude787: It is a problem which is exacerbated the lower the zoom becomes. In a close zoom the trees don't poke up out of the highway.

noahclem: Thank you very much!

belfastsocrates: Thanks! With Annuq I checked over virtually every building to ensure it fitted in. As good as Annuq is I feel my latest city Garforth is a further improvement, the new NAM and other recent content I have downloaded lets me do so much more. As long as new content is published then I have extra room for improvement.

Entry 44: Tebay and the Augill Forest

Tebay is another small village in the Faverdale city tile, the housing style of Tebay is also a sneak peak into the look of Garforth's suburb style.

{---}

1.

Tebay is by the corner of the city tile.

2.

But first let's look at a path which snakes it way upwards and eventually connects with Tebay.

3.

The path branches off from the B5289.

4.

5.

6.

The combination of Gobias' Sudden Valley terrain and the Arden Tree Controllers produces flora magic.

7.

Not a single flora MMP was used.

8.

Because of this the hard work of MMP foresting was taken off of my hands.

9.

10.

11.

12.

The village of Tebay.

13.

Lower Tebay.

14.

15.

I discovered that I actually have a whole ton of suburban British BATs.

16.

17.

18.

The Tebay holiday homes which provide a great view of Augill Forest.

19.

Upper Tebay because the houses are somewhat higher than those down in Lower Tebay.

20.

The semi-detached housing BATs are spot on.

This Monday the tour of Garforth will commence with some serious urban goodiness. Here are two small tasters:

Love the rolling landscape with the quarry! I especially like the first image, with the gravel road cutting over the landscape and the small paths criss-crossing the meadows.

Lovely update  &apls  Glad to see you've discovered the magic of Aerden and Sudden Valley (or similarly high quality terrain mod)--you will quickly forget how you were ever able to play without them ;)

I had not seen your updated February 2, 2016 ... She is beautiful! I like the way you do as parks and that you manage the diagonal roads. &apls

In the latest update, you deal still good nature! I see the grass plopper on most of your images, what mod does it come from? :)

Themistokles: Thank you! I have a fondness for footpaths in SC4 because of all the walks I have done in the English countryside.

Mandarin(a): Cheers!

noahclem: They are good, using the Sudden Valley terrain mod is something relatively new for me. Either it has been Berner Oberland or Lowkee's Appalachian terrain. As great as the Sudden Valley terrain is, I still have a soft spot for the Berner Oberland terrain.

romualdillo:thumbsup:

000: The grass simply comes with the Arden tree controller, it spawns on the Sudden Valley terrain for some reason, I guess that is due to the flora tuning parameters. The grass is actually an MMP which can be found here- http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1886.

compdude787: Thank you very much!

Swordmaster: I'm glad you like it a lot.

Entry 45: Introducing Garforth

After so many rural updates it is time to dive head-first into the urban. I present to you all my latest city Garforth.

{---}

1.

Though built on a medium sized city tile, this only helped me to focus and improve my style.

2.

Let's start in the south eastern part of the map.

3.

Plush offices in the suburbs.

4.

5.

Finally making use of the British BATs.

6.

The semi-detached houses even come in corner diagonals to.

7.

http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=354 For the orthogonal semi-detached homes. And- http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=356 for the diagonal semi-detached homes. Use the Euro tile set only and be prepared for a lot of bulldozing.

8.

A small local train station.

9.

10.

Making use of Simcoug's diagonal homes.

11.

One large shopping mall, created by Simgoober.

12.

13.

I create faux TE intersections for lots where the parking entrance connects with the road.

14.

Moving a bit northwards now for this next neighbourhood.

15.

FrankU's Dutch parks are amazing and make for very versatile fillers. A link for those interested- http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/30548-franku-dutch-parks/.

16.

A little of W2W row housing.

17.

This area's college.

18.

19.

Paeng's parks can also be used as fillers to complete tight spaces.

20.

If you're gonna plop in a church lot throw in some gravestones to.

21.

22.

Another amazing church BAT.

23.

I used Paeng's cemetery set (http://community.simtropolis.com/files/file/27523-paengs-cemetery-and-park-walls/)to expand the church's premises.

24.

The graveyard still has some space, so I infilled this with FrankU's Dutch parks, in this case the forest LOTs. As I said this park set is VERY versatile.

25.

A strip row of shops.

26.

Never neglect the parking, it has got to somehow link up with the road.

27.

28.

One of my favourite areas of Garforth, I really like the pedestrian crossing.

{---}

This Friday there will be more from Garforth.
