News:

The SC4 Devotion Forums are no longer active, but remain online in an archived, read-only "museum" state.  It is not possible for regular members to post or use the private messaging system, and no technical support will be provided for any issues pertaining to the forums in their current state.  Attachments (those that still work) are accessible without login.

The LEX has been replaced with SC4Evermore (SC4E), and SC4E maintains an active Discord server.  For traditional forums, we recommend Simtropolis.

"Is it CAMpatible? Damn, the description doesn't say. Nothing in the comments either. In the readme? Argh, no. Any results via forum search? Nope. There is this PIMX tool, but dare I fool around with a complex program I don't know the first thing about? Better not. What if I install this and just hope it's CAMpatible? Naah, might mess up my whole game. But... this growable is soooo beautiful / I need it for my reward chain!:'(

Perhaps there are other players who can relate to this dilemma. Forum statements such as "Lots uploaded to the LEX are usually CAMpatible" are of little help when a definite answer is needed.

The threads listing inCAMpatible mods and available CAMelots are great (thanks!), but again, not helpful for deciding whether a specific growable will ruin your game balance or not.

Soooo maybe we can, over time, create another list which clarifies CAMpatability of uncertain cases on the LEX, of course assuming there are enough people who already have this knowledge (the lot creators, e.g. ^^) or have enough modding experience to easily provide verification.

I humbly ask for your participation in the former capacity and/or by suggesting more unclear candidates. I will try to keep this first post up to date. Here we go:

0x27812810 is the property PIM-X uses for its filling degree data. If this property is present in a building exemplar, it means the building is CAMpatible.

It's fairly trivial to check files using Reader to see what's CAMpatible and what isn't.

SimGoober is a bit problematic, though. The non-CAM residentials have some stuff that's been PIM'd, others that haven't been.

I am not only reluctant to use this tool because it seems a lot of work to understand its use, I am also afraid I might 'break' something without even knowing, and later having no clue where to start looking or how to change it back.

If I do find the courage, I'll certainly post my findings here.

Reader cannot and will not make permanent changes to anything without you purposefully saving the file.

If you will, consider it an information tool.
