Though your Narrows is as accurate as is can be in comics, is dosen't make you feel like you're in hellhole where is no escape. Too clean and too much space. All the trees and streets make this look "bad". You should do your own Narrow-lots by using those buildings, like Glenni did in his MD.

For Scarecrow again: those "hair", "nose" and "hands" aren't frightening, maybe he wants Batman to die in laughter. If you have seen Marvel's Scarecrow, he is much "cooler" and actually half-demon nowdays. The movie version looks like Marvel's because there is no hat and Marvel's SC has same looking mask and the dress what movie's SC wears combined to mask and rope hanging in his necks makes his look like real psycho.

Eddie

The Batman has his first encounter with the Scarecrow...as well as his first experience with the fear doctor's toxin.

patfirefghter: I wouldn't call Gotham City over at ST "popular." There are just more users there. Glad you like the personal feel of commenting in this CJ. Maybe it's because sometimes you're the only one.  :P

Yoder7652: Glad you think it's gets better all the time. However, once we're through establishing the plot, there'll be some serious action in the next week or so. If you think these updates are good...just wait.

belfastuniguy: Thank you, belfast.

Bengt: I agree with the hellhole part. I tried plopping Jeronij's trash lots on the streets, but you can only put it on empty environments so I gave up on that part. Oh well. Can't have everything in life. As for Scarecrow, he does make me laugh sometimes, but in Batman the Animated Series he had a pretty frightening appearance:

Alfred contacts Lucius Fox to provide an antidote for Bruce Wayne, causing him to leave the company basement unguarded. While Lucius Fox drives towards Wayne Manor, a mysterious man breaks into Wayne Tower and steals a valuable weapon.

pat: Hehe. You're the only one commenting again.  ;)

Next Update: Arkham Asylum

Krio

Did Lucius really forgot to lock the basement  ??? Can't remember that and where were Wayne's guards  $%Grinno$% Anyway, I haven't seen much of city now, and it's useless to critize the story.

Pat

Sorry for not posting earlier ... but what had I missed...

I just sacrificed my lunch break and it was worth it!  &apls

Great story (I posted in PGC on ST earlier that Batman is by far my favourite classic superhero) congenial combined with some great urban SC4 environments!

Can't wait for the next update!

Bernhard

Eddie

The Elizabeth Arkham Asylum was established in the 1920's as a mental institution for the criminally insane. Founded by Amadeus Arkham, the asylum was named after his mentally-ill mother, who eventually committed suicide. The founder himself also went insane after losing his fortune during the 1929 stock market crash. He died in 1962 with a smile on his face. Today, Arkham lies in a wooded acre on Narrows Island, supposedly to provide a peaceful environment for its inmates--or to prevent them from getting too close to the city, where they would pose a threat to its residents. The asylum's dark past mirrors its disturbed inmates, which range from serial killers to schizophrenics.

Bengt: :P Who'd want to rob old prototypes anyway? Why would it be useless to criticize the story? Because it's so good, huh? I knew it.  ;) Don't worry, you'll be seeing some more SC4 this update.

pat: In the comic it didn't show the ship, so I had to improvise a way the League of Shadows could've stolen it--this time, Lucius forgot to lock the basement. Hey, it doesn't have to be perfect--it just has to work!  $%Grinno$%

Nardo69: Hey, Nardo my man. You sacrificed your lunch break to see this MD? I don't see how not eating would be worth it, but if you think so... :) I remember your post in PGC, and have been wondering ever since where you've been. You've been one of the few who seem to have a knowledge of vintage comic books.

Next Update: The Plan

QuoteHey, it doesn't have to be perfect--it just has to work!

You can't critize the story, because you can't change it. Unless you make your own stories... $%#Ninj2

Grass in the hills is too bright compared to brownish grass in the forest and no security to that bridge or no guard towers? And is that really Maxis prison? If it is, I must say that it has never looked so good.

tooheys

Eddie, the asylum looks great. Nice use of walls and walkways, and max security is nicely done.

Cheers

Dave

Fantastic comic, Eddi! Nice story! Also great ingame pictures!

kimcar

Shame on me that i never post on your MD. I like special one , and your is one of them . I will follow it for sure.

For your work you deserve a lot of  &apls &apls &apls Great amount of work .

Batman goes to Arkham Asylum to weed a confession out of Jonathan Crane, after hearing that a microwave emitter had been stolen from Wayne Enterprises. Interrogating the Scarecrow with his own toxin, Batman's worst suspicions are confirmed when Crane tells him his plan to destroy the city.

pat: Thanks for the comment, as always.  :)

Bengt:  $%#Ninj2 Well, I do write the dialogue myself, but sometimes I borrow some lines for the movie now and then. As for the grass, I wanted there to be a contrast, like Arkham is maintained but the surrounding acre isn't. I also didn't want to add guard towers or more security measures...it would frighten the inmates.  :satisfied:

bat: Thanks, batman. Er, I mean...

kimcar: Don't worry about it. Glad you'll be following it this time.

Next Update: Batman: Fugitive

The citywide manhunt for Batman is still at large, and when the GCPD gets an anonymous call about a Bat-sighting at Arkham, the entire police force surrounds the asylum—armed and ready to apprehend the vigilante once and for all.

pat: Thanks for the comment!

And since this update was pretty short, enjoy these sneek previews of something I'm working on for a December update...Always plan ahead!

Merry Christmas

Happy Hanukkah

Happy Kwanzaa

Ran out of holidays...

Next Update: Pandemonium

Krio

$%#Ninj2 I mean that you should came up your own plots next time. When Batman Begins is completed, what's next? The killing joke perhaps?  $%Grinno$% ()sad()

Anyway, lack of "buildings" makes me again to wonder, should I even comment now? But but. Scarecrow's defeat was realistic, I hate when comics Batman (non-superpowers) must beat some dude hours to get him unconsicous and same thing occurs with superpowered heros, like Spiderman who can lift 20k kg but still 70-year old Chameloen can take his punches. Really. Once I saw, how Trapster spitted some blood from his mouth after Spiderman's kick to face, but again, Trapster is just guy with glue-pistol and funny outfit. Back to DC Comics and your CJ..

"Not the gas!" Hah hah! Your own writings?

Snowy pics made my cry/laugh. I mean, city looked OK, but the "snow".. ::)

Pat

Eddie nice update i do have one thing about the squad cars... what happend i thought you was using the blue and white and not black and white... But nonetheless a goood update see you next time - pat

Hi Eddie!

Actually comenting PGC after my first (and unfortunately only) comment was really like in the old slapstick movies: Every time I wanted to post comment something else hindered me ...  /wrrd%&

vintage comics you said? Oh Boy, am I really that old ... but yeah, it was at least eight years ago that bought DC and (mostly) Image comics ...  &ops

Nice work on the Arkam Asylum. I really do love the park!  ()stsfd()

About these teaser pics: I would give a chance to PEG'" snow mods (and the different "Addons") If it is not the thing you wanted you can still throw it out of the plugin folder ...  &idea

Take care and make backups!

Bernhard
