Someone has blown up Arkham's security wall, freeing the asylum's inmates out of their cells. And to make things worse, Ra's al Ghul has turned on the microwave emitter, vaporizing the water supply and releasing the toxin onto Narrows Island. It's up to Batman and Sergeant Gordon to save a city that's on the brink of chaos.



Bengt: Thing is, I AM doing the Killing Joke next.  But I took out the part where Barbara G. gets shot and Gordon gets tortured, bringing out the root of the story: the Joker's origin. You'll see.

What do you mean "lack of buildings"? There's an SC4 pic for every three pictures in this MD AND I have settings updates (all SC4 only). And did you listen to anything I've said? I said the dialogue is mine, with the exception of where I borrowed lines from the movie. What--you want EVERYTHING to be different?    What am I supposed to say? "Oh no! Not the poisonous fear inducing gas!" That's just oozing corny. And as you can see the updates are already different from the movie. There are no news segments in Begins. 

Ha. You don't like the snow? You'll never be pleased, Bengt. But it was pretty entertaining to read your rambling-on about Chameleon and Trapster for no apparent reason. 

pat: The thing is, in the movie, the cop cars were black, but in the comic, they're blue. I had to compromise. 

Nardo69: Oh, 8 years isn't vintage. I just assumed you read old 70's/80's comics like Darmok. I'm getting a kind of 70's vibe from you, maybe that's why. I did try PEG's mod, I didn't like it.  Oh, well. There's always Photoshop. Glad you like the update!

Next Update: The Midnight Train

WoW that was a good update eddie i loved it.... on the prev update it kinda threw me for a loop when the cars where one color then anther lol... yea its true you have to compormise some how... you make it happen and that
is why i love Gotham City....

The final confrontation has Batman fighting his old martial arts master, Ra's al Ghul, on the midnight train. Meanwhile Jim Gordon is in the Batmobile, trying to find a way to stop the train from crashing into Wayne Tower...and poisoning all of Gotham City in the process.

Just clicking along here, Eddie.  You'll have to give us, at some point, some insight into the process here.  Not that the story isn't fascinating, but it is also very interesting that the comic is so tightly integrated with your use of SC4 content.

Gordon shows the Dark Knight the new Bat-signal and tells him how the police force has finally pulled the task force trying to arrest him. The GCPD is also showing signs of recovering from corruption, but the city still has plenty of problems...including the appearance of a new criminal.

So ends Batman's first year of fighting crime in Gotham City.

Hmm, I might do that in the future, but it's quite complex so I'll have to spend some time planning how to show it so I could do it justice.

A new commenter. As I'm trying to return from hiatus with style.

This is quite unique, to say the least. I caught myself when first viewing this MD scrolling through the images quickly.... no SC4 pics. Well upon closer inspection, I now realize your skill with the images. You have the saturation and coloring (filters?) set perfectly to fit the comic.

SOOOO I read the whole thing. I notice that each update is getting better in quality. I'm definitely not here to argue over small details (no offence to anyone who is).

I am enjoying your version of these events. Nice!! Don't forget to put Glenni's batmobile in there somewhere....

Jack, with a baby on the way and a hopeless career, strikes a deal with the mob to rob a playing card company. Jack's decision to don the Red Hood will set in motion an unstoppable chain of events.



beskhu3epnm: What makes me really happy is that you didn't notice the SC4 pics at first glance. Am I really that good?  I didn't want the SC4 screencaps to stand out because I want people to focus on the story and the characters.

But if you have any comments on little details, feel free to tell me. Improvement comes with criticism.

While discussing the final stages of their plan, Jack gets some unexpected news from the police. With two unexpected deaths burdening him and the robbery just mere hours away, he's beginning to crack. How far can a man go before he's into insanity?

-By the way, I really like the new look of the forum. It compliments the yellow-tinge in my updates. 



pat: Someone in ST also noticed the "Loeser" reference. It's not intentional, I didn't even in notice it at first. It's interesting nontheless.

Located in Gotham's seedy industrial district, Ace Chemical Processing is located adjacent to Monarch Playing Cards, the target for a soon to be attempted robbery. Ace Chemicals has also stirred controversy within the city's environmental board for spilling waste into the Robert Kane Canal, polluting it with highly poisonous toxins.
