LEX Download historic isn't tracking the files I'm downloading

After getting a new rig and getting a bit disappointed with Cities: Skylines due to the cartoonish graphics, lack of simulation and some odd limitations of that game, I decided to download Simcity 4 again so I would play a real City Simulator.

I did downloaded the game and put SC4 and NAM at my SSD. So, right now, I'm at that annoying part of the hunt for a zillion of dependencies so I can download whatever I want without getting afraid of odd CTDs and brown boxes popping everywhere. There is a good and a bad side of this situation:

The good side is that most of those dependencies are located here (SC4D), the bad side is that I'm getting very confused because the LEX download tracker isn't working for ???? reason.

Is this happening with somebody else? I wanna grab all of those dependencies asap without getting confused and dlding the same files for several times due to this little issue.

I tried to use Chrome, but it had no use. I actually use firefox.

Thanks in advance.

To avoid double Dl's I created a folder and called it "SC4Megadump", then I set Firefox to use that folder for all SC4 downloads.
When you download anything and its already in there windows notifies me thus eliminating doubles :)
This way it works with all the sites where I do DL's, trackers or not.

I am doing basically the same thing but windows doesn't notify me there are duplicate files in the folder. So I have to take hours to find all the copies. There has to be a better way. I just spent awhile searching for that setting with no luck. How do I enable it in windows 7?

What do you mean with notifications? Something like "Downloaded file(1)" or [You already has this file on your computer]?

If you're talking about the second option, how do I enable it on windows 10?

What I meant was that Firefox can be set to notify when there is an exact file in the folder you create.
So, in Firefox look at the top right screen and on the far right you will see an icon that looks like 3 stacked bars, click it and click on the option button.
Under startup you see the "download" rule, check the "Always ask me where to save files" line.....that's it!
Create a new folder anywhere with whatever name you wish and next time you DL something, point to that folder, if you already have a file in there, Firefox will notify you if an exact named file is already in there thus avoiding doubles.

One more thing, in order to have this method effective at all times do not remove files from the DL folder, instead copy paste the downloaded files in another folder/drive for later usage/manipulation. (Such as archiving in aptly named folders)

My SC4Megadump folder is like my master library  ()stsfd()

Thanks Simmer. I find that way a bit of a pain in the butt however its less of a pain than the way I was doing it. I do the same thing you do except I keep my master library on a dedicated on network server running JBOD. Only way Ill loose my files is a nuclear attack lol.

I guess since DL history and list doesnt work means the LEX downloader no longer works either? Sorry I was away for 3 years :(

Hehe, I also have a dump folder for mods/dependencies I already installed.

BTW, thanks for the hints, I'll start the dependencies hunt later, gotta sleep now :D
