You can count on the LEX Quality Control! "$Deal"$

Always a treat to come here and visit your progress, and it still is :)

Great progress Jeroni and please don't stop making this type of buildings. You have a distinct talent to create wonderful assets      ... of course there are always people around to get this beauty the right values it needs to grow, just present it, as Ripplejet mentioned, to the LEX candidacy quality control board and all will be fine.  ;)

Glenni

Nice work JR, i especially like the way you detail the groundfloor, think you can add even more detail? like stuff related to the shops or even some trash cans and vending machines?

figui

this is looking wonderful.
spanish influence in uruguay is obvious, and can be recognized easily in the architecture.
many buildings here look like the ones you're bringing to life to sc4. this is great

Thanks to all for the nice compliments

Glenni, I think the detail for the ground floor is enough for this time... anyway, all these details can not be seen in the game  ::)

I had some time this evening to build a bit more, and the main body is practically completed....

Now time for the details and the lights.... I hope this time there is no unexpected surprise when rendering after adding the lights  ::)  $%Grinno$%

I am sticking with my last comment ... superb modeling and I am looking forward to see this in the game.

jeronij

Thanks again for your nice comments

I finally finished the model, but I am not satisfied with the nightlights in game, so I will have to work a bit more with them  ::) . However, the day model can be already used  ;D

As mentioned before, I made some more work with the first model, including new renders and mirror elements, so some more lots (2x2) are available with this single set. Here you can see all the models so far. All they are 1x2 actually, except the corner building which is 2x2

And finally some proper pictures. This is the way this set should look like in game  ;)

I hope you like the progress  ()stsfd()

Thanks again for the nice comments

I have been dealing with the nightlights, and even I am not really convinced with the result, i think I'll leave this one "as is". I have been working for too many days for a single model  ::) . I need a change  ;)

Ops, the nightlights:

Oh, I have removed the plants, because they were making the MAX crash, because lack of memory  ::) $%Grinno$%

how "heavy" were your trees?? I mean I don't think there sould be a problem with max and such a smallish model. How much memory does your system have and what is your OS?

kimcar

  Great job jeronij . Great to see your work again.

I think the problem is not how heavy they are, but how many they are. The big trees in the front are between 15000 and 20000 polys. Those are not the problem, even if only one has almost more polys that the whole building  ::) ). The problem are the small bushes that I placed everywhere, which are between 15000 and 40000 polys. I have circled them in red in the picture. However these bushes can almost not be seen in the game, and the front big bushes will make the building look too different to the other ones, and to my original idea. I will keep the bushes for some high wealth buildings  ;)

I have included my machine's hardware specifications. I have to admit that my machine is too humble for my imagination  ::)  :D  :D
