How can I get rid of them? I've used the eye-candy roads included in the Newman Inc farm pack before with no problem, so I don't understand what's going on now.
Remedies tried: 1. Various zoom levels. 2. Exit city with save, exit region, restart computer, turn computer off then back on. 3. Recheck dependency list. 4. Get rid of Newman in-game file and reinstall. 5. Trash everything Newman, download a new install file and reinstall.
6. Give up!  ::)

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Had the same problem with some walls awhile back (jeronij's I think), but didn't pursue the issue since I wasn't really ready for walls yet anyway.

The arrows are just to help you align the lots and should disappear when you plop them. They often briefly flash on once a year but shouldn't stay.
Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened. TP

Thank you for coming to the rescue and doing it so quickly.
After posting then trying several more angles, I believe I've narrowed this (and some other oddities) down to either an SC4 bug or a personal system issue. Judge for yourself.
City files tend to go corrupt on my system after an excessive number of build-and-destroy cycles (up to 20 or more in the same city within a few hours. I'm a cockeyed perfectionist - I can't help it!) Anyway, I installed a backup copy of the region currently in question and the farm roads worked perfectly. A different kind of corruption showed up in the recent past involving crashes, but the build-and-destroy element was present in that city, too. So maybe there's a limit to the number of build-and destroy cycles available?
Anyway, I've shared this idea in the spirit that the concept might help others. If nothing else, it reinforces nardo's advice: "Save often and make backups!"

Thanks again,
Joan
