Davy Jones Tribute

Monkey Island mourns the passing of Davy Jones, singer in Monkey Island's all-time favorite musical group, The Monkees. The musical scene in the nation will never quite be the same again. King C. George III has proclaimed a period of mourning and will attend a tribute concert in the capital this week.

Mourners head out to the ceremony early. Chimpania has been filled with visitors coming to take part in the tributes.

Tributes flowed well into the night at the sacred Temple of Golden Bananas

Del Monte Arena will host the tribute concert

I am sure it will be a very special show indeed

Love the arena... was expecting it to be called Monkey Square Garden, although I love that it is sponsored by Del Monte.

Ancient Days

There was time, many years ago, back in the ancient days, when Monkey Island was fighting for its freedom. Invaders from Caesar's army tried to annex the island for the empire. Wise Monkey Island King C. George I built stone walls around the towns and prepared for battle. After many struggles, the clever monkeys developed a successful strategy. After holding off Mario Caesar, they also repelled attacks by his brother, Luigi Caesar. How? Here's a modern reenactment:

This strategy was first used at the town of Optimi Bananicus. From here, it spread in all directions, from Donquii Kongaea to the Via Banania. Let's take a look at the strategic town of Optimi Bananicus...

Too bad, today we only can see ruins of these gret ancient ~~civ~~monkilisation...

i´ve seen some of the old temples they´ve built for their gods, the big ~~Jup~~Monkiter, - really great stuff. But mankind don´t want to learn, mostly they say apes were stupid. What a shame! They should look in here.

I don´t know how You´ve made the pictures but maybe these ancient monkeys had some unknown kind of ancient camera?
