The Glass Banana


It's nearly time for the big holiday season. So, do you know what you want for your gift? I know what I want...



Where does someone get such fabulous gifts? Why, the holiday shopping headquarters of Monkey Island: New Bananopolis! Let's check it out.


First, let's leave our luxurious townhouse and head into town...


Quite a few large apartment buildings along the way in...


Of course this means more shoppers down at the mall...


Ahh, here it is. At left, the Glass Banana, the world's tallest shopping mall. Curved like a delicious golden banana, the Glass Banana has more than twice the retail space of a traditional suburban mall in a fraction of the land footprint.


If talking about bananas makes you hungry, why not join me for a nice lunch at the Courtyard Café at the Palazzo di Giorgio Curioso?


Afterwards, we can go to Del Monte Arena to catch some great hoops action. The New Bananopolis Slippery Peels have one of the best records in the MBA at the moment...

Most importantly, stock up on as many holiday gifts as you can carry in your four hands and prehensile tail... because, as always, there is no tax on retail purchases in Monkey Island. Ahop early and shop oten!

Unprovoked Attack


It was a peaceful winter day in Monkey Island... monkeys busy enjoying the latest Bananarama CD and sipping on their hot chocolate with banana flavored marshmallows. On the radio, the DJ was finishing the all request Tarzan songs lunch hour when someone at Monkey Island International Airport reported a batch of unexpected radar blips headed toward the island. Odd... Air Traffic Control send several requests for identification and flight plans; there was no reply. Finally, the blips approached the coast and airport authorities send word to the Monkey Island Air Force to ready a challenge to air space.

But, it was too late. Del Monte AFB was a 6 minute flight to intercept and the planes would be on the coast in 2. This did not bode well. Enemy planes began a series of bombings on the southeastern coast.


The first bomb falling


The destruction begins


Smoldering ruins are left behind


Charred craters mark bomb impacts


Choking dust and smoke fill the air


The Banana Cream Pie Bridge was spared


The Grape Ape District was leveled


Jane Gooddall National Forest was set ablaze


Buildings collapsed all pver town


The destruction is severe. The biggest question is: who is behind this sneak attack and what is their problem with the peaceful vine swinging nation of Monkey Island?

The bombings from Queensferry continue. That evil nation has decided to attack Monkey Island out of their own misguided sense of revenge and evil. Look what terrible deeds they have done this time.



















Monkey Island has been devastated! Can it recover? Only time will tell.
