CabraBuitre,

Thank you very much!  :sunny:
I didn't know if I could remove Maxis trees from the lots (as you see I use CP's and other trees on the open space). I found these mods yet. Thank you again!

Here are the mods...

I'm not sure if items need to be replopped, I haven't done too much investigation into these, but they get rid of the maxis palm (the first two are two different choices) and the maxis oak.

Check out Abelfarei!

@Ennedi, all three are beautiful. I must say, all of your pictures exhibit a certain charming appearance, something I've been trying to accomplish
with my pics for years. As for that 3rd pic, it maybe could use a few different kinds of rocks, like these for instance. But otherwise, they're great!

@To all, yes, those shadows do look kinda weird, maybe I should have turned them off?

Anyway, this pic is probably my all-time favorite...

Travis, this pic is really great  &apls
It would have been perfect if there were 2 or 3 cars driving on the road, that my only critic

Hello Travis,

Sorry, I hadn't time to reply quickly, but I must say your picture is fantastic. The stream with rapids, rocks and trees is a great composition. Also your use of these houses is perfect for me. I tried to find anything wchich doesn't fit here, but I didn't. I know it is very difficult to make a good composition using trees. If you will make one click too much, everything is wrong - the same thing with rocks and water flora. You have very good feeling of it (sorry if my English is bad).

About my pictures - thank you very much for your nice words. I still try to find my own style. About rocks - I have mossy Granite rock mod in this city. There aren't ploppable rocks similar to it, But in my opinion white stones on the seashore fits better to this rock mod than brown. Thinking about realism, these stones came into being from the rock because of erosion. In real life sometimes rocks has many different colors, but more often you can see monochromatic rocky landscapes.

OK, now the pic I like...

Travis, love your work. I see you have fallen in love with CP's 19th century houses. Aren't they great, my mouse finger gets tired of making them historic.

Travis

Thank you Ennedi, indeed, using mayor-mode flora is difficult and takes much practice to get a good effect. One wrong click and I
have to bulldoze the whole tile. (Might not sound like much, but you wouldn't believe how much time I can spend on a lone grid square.  ::) )
You're right about the rocks. I don't create natural seashores very often, I usually pave them over with embankments or beaches.

Thanks shoreman, I just can't get enough of C.P.'s houses. They're so realistic, especially how they're placed on angles,
it helps to break the monotony of all-orthogonal neighborhoods in SC4.

FissileBread

I like your pic Ennedi, good use of the cathedral in the centre.

Here's a pic of an Amsterdam recreation I've been working on

OK , so I'm assuming that you'll see no inconveniences squidi , if I've transfered this picture at the right place to be able to comment it ...

8/10. I've seen alot of images here and I hate to say it but in my honest opinion if you need flashy graphical effects to make your pictures look good, as in lack of natural unedited raw images that have a certain no photoshop required aura then you need to work on your presentation more, this image is one of my favorites.
If your fingers aren't bleeding, your not playing Sim City 4.

thanks badsim for moving my picture. its really great to hear this comment from YOU
so now i have a picture here without comments to the others what now will b changed

@ennedi i really like ur picture couse of the very cool light effects and also great placement what i like less is the empty land sourounding it but i no that it is hard on this terrain so i dont really care about this. the lots on the cliff r really cool and fit this

@ FissileBread i love amsterdam and u did a good job your pavment and houses also the placment from roads and the canal is like it is in amsterdam
but on amsterdam there is more life at the streets im sure you know what i mean and its hard to get this i know it couse its also hard for me.
thats what u have to work on in my opinion

@squidi, thank you very much for your comment, and don't worry about previous comments - both topics (this one and "Rate One Image") will be merged soon. I would like to do it myself, but I'm a "newbie moderator"  :D and didn't do such thing yet, so I'm afraid of destroying something.

Your picture is really very good, I like your care about textures, some of them are very interesting, and thealley looks fantastic!
It's an excellent idea to make wide sidewalks, all buildings look much better with such arrangement.

About my picture - it was from my first, old region and this city was not quite developed yet $%Grinno$% Now I am making something new and trying to present better pictures :D - thank you for a honest opinion!

@jplumbley: It's rather a question to squidi, he is an author of this pic :)

Found my answer.

@Squidi, would you mind sending your textures to me?  Eventually, I may be able to help make them a texture override and have it draggable  ::)

.. about the textures im not sure i think they are part of gare du nord but i dont have the lot jet i have only all the gare du nord props
i will look for them when i have the time couse i also have to work in real life but if i could i would stay 24/7 on LE at the moment
.. so i have to use all my freetime

Badsim

I confirm , these are textures from Xannepan 's Gare du Nord ... a huge download (>15 Mo) but you can keep the Textures.dat file only ...
That's a great idea jplumbey ...  ;)

Once more , brilliant work squidi , I can't believe to  have not thought about that before you did !!!  $%Grinno$%
