Tremendous pics (most of them) &apls

This is a city I'm currently working on. As you can see from the spaceshuttle, I don't care that much for realism  ;)

Giligone

Haha, the spaceshuttle! Thats sweet! great job lining that shot up.  9/10

Cali

you definitly brought out more detail with the lighting. looks great ;D

StegSC

The rowhomes look very nice, good job zoning so they'd cover the whole block. The church among the rows adds a nice effect, and of course the lighting is very uplifting and beautiful to look at. 8.5/10

Here's one from my recent CJ.

lol.  I bet the glass guy makes a fortune every time it launches.   :D

Oh, and StegSC.  I must say that I absolutely love night shots (which kind of sucks since I have a Mac (*shakes fist at sky* Damn you Aspyr!)). I love how the skyscrapers partly block the stadium.  9

Giligone

Gorgeous Night Shot Steg! I've never seen that stadium at night before. Its breathtaking.  9.17/10

marcszar, where did you get those rowhouses and how do you make them grow like that?  I think it looks fantastic.
- el jacko and such

This little church is pretty cool, where did you get it?
Visit Vorsfelde.

Russell

Marcszar, that looks great. Both realistic and pleasant. And I also wonder where you got that church, and the small building immediately below it.

M4346

Although I'm not entirely sure where the other buildings in Marcszar's pic is from, I do believe that this is the church:

St John Church BSC Don Miguel -> Click!

QuoteThis is a small church meant to be placed in semi-urban settings such as brownstone neighborhoods and medium density residential areas. It is based on a real church in Brooklyn, NY and looks best on a corner lot.

I'm not sure about this picture. It's the largest explosion ever in my city and I was thinking about placing it in my CJ, but I don't know if it is too bright and... overstated. &mmm

LP`

Haven't the time for comments, sorry about that...

However, I just took these two. I'll post both, basically because they really do go together.

New tower at the point of Jenora Island. Started off with a steep small volcanic island, teraced it, reclaimed a bunch of land, and went onto building a metropolis. Island is full though, so a few bridges were built to the mainland, which is now full. A fun little bit it was, I should really get back to my real region though. :P

Shadow Assassin

Quite a nice pic, LP. It feels quite spread out, but still has that urban feeling.

I may have gone a little overboard, but here we go. :P

Quote from: marcszar on March 13, 2007, 10:32:53 AMThe lighting effects in this picture are different than what I usually do since I want to capture a different mood in an area with different demographics than my usual subject matter:

So it's sunnier in better off areas?  ;)

Giligone

Some bigtime construction in my city.

These are amazing and atmospheric shots everyone. There are some really brilliant shots in this thread &apls

Nice mosaic.  The only thing bad about it is that those refinery buildings seem really out of place.  Other than the refinery buildings, the image(s) has a good overall feel.  8
