Forum/shut down

I know nothing about how computers function, but I thought I would tell somebody this, and I don't know who to e-mail.  I'm also not sure what bandwidth means, but if it has something to do with being logged on to the site, whenever I log on to the forum section, and then go to anywhere else on the Internet, this site stays open.  The download site closes automatically but not the forums.  I haven't been really paying attention to the taskbar thingy at the bottom, because I keep Firefox open as long as I'm on the computer, but it gradually registered that at the end of a session I kept closing the BSC tab.  Then I started watching the last few days and it stays open if I visit the forums.  I am running Vista on a laptop Dell, and I have been conscious of closing it manually now, but if it is happening to anyone else and it is keeping them logged on when they are not, you may want to know it.  Of course, it could be that I am the only one who doesn't know enough to close a tab!

I'm the same way, by the end of the week I have 15-20 tabs open because I never bother to close them.
