I thought I would share some photos that I took during my trip last week to New England, particularly Boston, Massachusetts. I took them on my mother's digital camera--a Sony Cybershot--so forgive me if the quality isn't very good.

Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Paul Revere House, Boston, Massachusetts.

Trinity Church, Boston, Massachusetts.

Boston.

Baby flamingo, Franklin Park Zoo, Boston.

A view of the Charles River atop the Prudential Tower, Boston.

Back Bay from the Prudential Tower.

The John Hancock Tower from Prudential.

Fenway Park from Prudential.

Fenway Park from Section 5, Row 13, Seat 10 (The Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 2-1).

The Leonard P. Zakim / Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge, crossing the Charles River, Boston.

John Hancock Tower, Boston.

Prudential Tower, Boston.

More signs in Boston (forgive me!).

An anaconda at the New England Aquarium, Boston.

Penguins at the New England Aquarium.

Jellyfish at the New England Aquarium.

TD Banknorth Garden, home of the Celtics and the Bruins.

Kennebunkport, Maine.

Kennebunk River, Maine.

Gulf of Maine.

An oil tanker in the Atlantic Ocean, waiting for the price of oil per barrel to rise before coming to port to sell.

I-84 East to Waterbury, Connecticut.

Hartford, Connecticut--Home of the Whalers.

Hope you enjoyed them!

Pat

Thank you, my friend! Unfortunately, those are all the pictures I have from the trip. I took more, but they didn't come out so well, so they were deleted.

Thanks, Ennedi! Maine was wonderful--actually all of New England was. I was never there before and it was a great place. The flamingo was my favorite, too. I like how his feet are too big for his body.

Of course, we can't forget our political commentary!  ;D

I absolutely love Boston - I lived about fifty miles from the city for five years and still haven't seen as much of it as you did as only a tourist.  I do recognize a lot of those landmarks though... nothing like we have down in the good ol' South, where downtown is surrounded by a seemingly endless parking lot.  The Back Bay's really nice, as is Cambridge, and both are in the vicinity of quite a few good colleges (pardon me there, it's getting that time of year).

When you were there, did you get a chance to go into the North End and eat pizza at Pizzeria Regina?  It's probably one of the best pizzas in the world.

I also see you got to see the Red Sox in Fenway.  Great experience, great team - too bad Fenway tickets are expensive as hell and you saw them against Tampa.

Isnt Boston Great?  ;D

your lucky you got a beautiful day for the pru, when i went up it was snowing so you could barely see the outline of the financial district. Red Sox games are a blast, till they come over to sign autographs and all of the sudden the lower sections become mosh pits. You showed 5 of my BATs!  &apls

hope you liked it.

Yes, I must say that I loved Boston, and all of New England for that matter. I didn't get to Vermont, though. That'll be next time--maybe in the winter? I don't know yet.

Aaron (pickled_pig): I was in the North End, but only for a little while, looking around for Paul Revere's house, and that was in the morning, so I didn't get to eat any pizza. However, I'll keep that place in my for my next visit...and there will be a next visit! Oh, and the commentary about the oil tankers waiting to sell their oil was made by the captain of our whale boat, I just thought I'd pass it along!

Patriots1228: When I was at the top of Prudential, I thought of your BATs (I downloaded them long ago. Great work, by the way)!
