Here is a pretty simple diamond interchange with avenue roundabouts on either end with the overpasses 7.5 m in height.

My first attempt to make a trumpet interchange using the level 1 flexfly pieces. This is an 8C intersecting with a RHW4.

I think I am starting to get the hang of the RHW mod now :)

Nice workaround the lack of a on-slope diagonal transition or a elevated smooth curve!

It's been a while since I've posted something new here...

Very nice one, with nice smooth curves.

Here are some of the interchanges i built for the past couple of months... Click for full size. Sorry for the "footer", I don't know how to hide it before capture.

First, some urban interchanges...

This one lacks only one link.

I like this one, but it lacks two links, and the top-left link isn't smooth enough.

Spaghettis.

8C -> L2 6S x L1 RHW2 -> DDRHW-4

6S T-bone.

Some more rural now...

A classic trumpet between 6S/8S and 6C.

Another trumpet with less capacity.

Tried to do a T-bone with FlexFly and FlexMIS. Interesting, but not very stable ;)

Hope you enjoyed them.

Exit to the north of the interchange:

Roundabout which handled 10.000 vehicles a day, which I reconstructed to a cloverleaf interchange, which I will post another picture of when I finished it completely:

This is where the traffic splits up:

The old roundabout which is replaced during the reconstruction:

Exit to on the westside of the city:

I've found that I enjoy making compact cities and designing efficient interchanges around them. So here's a few shots from a recent city. It's not super beautiful, but I'm mostly playing it for myself. These shots are all from Whinnysor, one of the cities in the default ('Timbuktu') region, which I'm using so as I don't get too sucked into the game. The most complex part of the city is definitely where the western main road crosses the highway, which is making a sharp turn to follow the coast. Curves obviously make it hard to make onramps and offramps, and to complicate matters further, this was also where my city planning scheme suggested I should have a few perpendicular major roads. So here's one exit from my highway, laid wide, and most of that city's downtown. Or what would count as one, for a suburb of sorts. Please pardon the monstrous double roundabout.

Catalyst

Hey,

Stewey, good to see somebody using the avenue ramps, too bad they don't get a base texture (maybe a little photoshopping/gimping can help you hide it?) diamond interchange's nice too !

thomaslc: if you use print screen to take pictures, just press Num lock and it should disappear/reappear.

Here a rural intersection I build, it's a RHW-3 that expands to a RHW-4, making place for entering/exiting vehicles to avoid weaving:

Nice interchange Catalyst!

For other people, it's always best to hide the UI when you take screenshots--and turn off the grid by hitting G. There is also a hotkey for doing screenshots in game; it is Ctrl-Shift-S. This will allow you to take screenshots without the UI showing up. It saves it as PNG file, so you'll need to convert it to JPEG later for posting on this forum (PNG files are discouraged since they apparently take longer to load). But anyway, it's much quicker than using Print Screen and then having to alt-tab over to an image-editing program to paste it into there.
