What's that cool looking giant gold statue peeking out from behind the buildings?  ()what()

It is the Colossus Statue in the CAMelot Counter
Inside every old person is a young person wondering what happened. TP

Hogmeister, Thanks I'm glad you like them

JBSimio Thanks :)

RebaLynnTS Thanks for your reply, they fit very well with your storm drains :)

kyle Thanks, well it's actually a 3x3 lot. The images was resized a bit because Webshots didn't allow me to host a full size image.

Pat Thanks

Schulmanator What Barby said ;)

mightygoose Thanks, well the proses of sulfate recovery can't do without a furnace so the chimneys are necessary. Imo those chimneys fit better with the maxis industry than my manufacturing chimney (you meant the industrial furnace didn't you?). I'm not thinking of making them props since they're attached to the building. If I do than I'll have to work with custom LODs and those always tend to give me a headache  :D

Anyway here's some progress. I still have to bat some roofjunc and some more pipes. Nightlights are done but nothing special this time.

mightygoose

its ok yeah i meant the industrial furnace.... i dont use any maxis industry.... so even having this will add variety... it looks good, the only thing i would suggest is maybe a darker roof texture... is it meant to be corrugated aluminium or something else????
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....

RebaLynnTS

Love to see folks using LAR :)

Your stuff makes it look even better.

I am not convinced by that roof finish, it didn't stand out in the earlier post however in this one it just doesn't look right.

mightygoose Thanks for your feedback. I've changed the rooftextures a bit as they where indeed a bit pale. The roof is made from bitumen sheets. On a flat roof this texture looks ok, but on a sloped roof the textures became a bit to bright because of the lights in MAX.

RebaLynnTS Thanks, and many thanks for your master pieces of civil engineering :)

Hogmeister Thanks, they are indeed a bit pale.

Here's an update with the new rooftextures and some roofjunc. I might change the roof a bit since I'm not very happy with its look. Maybe I'll need some bigger pipes and some fans?

RebaLynnTS

Looks much better. If you want fences for you lots, I am going to be uploading a new fence pack very shortly.

^^ Thanks for all the comments
I've got good news and bad news for you. Lets start with the bad news: I'll place the dirty industrial building in the freezer for a while. But don't worry other dirty ones will follow sooner or later...
The good news. Two new buildings are nearing completion and an update for my old Hagestede apartment set is on its way. Yesterday I was in need for an larger I-m warehouse. So I made this building:

The images is already a bit outdated as I've desaturated the textures a bit as Andreas suggested me.

I've also made a small CO$$ office. I know nothing special, but I missed small CO$$ buildings. And I'll have to have some of them before I can block Maxis hideous offices  :D

:)

Pat

Tag that is looking real good I love that I-m Warehouse!!! Also that CO$$ is looking sweet as well!!!!

Awesome job on that warehouse!  &apls Shelving the dirty industrial furnace was a good idea, after all.  :P

A possible thing that I would like to see would be an additional larger lot, with more room for trucks and other industrial props.  While the current one looks very nice, it's kinda unrealistic to have that little free space for a building of that large scale.  Either way, I will definitely be pleased to see this one hit the LEX!  :)

Pat Thanks! I'm glad you like them. :)

Kyle Thanks, I agree with you that the lot is now a bit small. I made that one to add some density to the industrial area's. I'll make a bigger lot (4x5) too. Both of them will be a stage 5 camelot. Oh and I hope you don't mind I took one of you wonderful downtown shots to make the reflections in the glass for this one:

It's a stage 9 CO$$ building. I saw some great buildings with wonderful reflections made by simfox and pvm so I wanted to try making some reflections as well :)

bat

Your newer buildings are very great looking!

ky72x

Great to hear that, T1!  As for the new office tower, it looks very nice.  Thanks for using one of my pictures for the reflections!  First off, I have to ask which one was it.  I can kinda see parts of a picture in there, but otherwise I'm not too sure what picture of mine it may be.  :D

Bat Thanks! Since I'm using 3ds max instead of gmax I indeed produce some nicer buildings. I'm now able to use bumpmaps and stuff which gives a bat something extra. I also use CGTextures.com for my textures which has way better textures than the other sites I used before.  :D

Kyle Thanks man! I've used this picture of yours:

I particularly liked this image because of the density and the street which runs between the building. I also liked the lots you've used as plazas and parks :)

I still haven't found the ideal night lights yet on this tower. Imo it's a bit to pale and not bright enough. I'll post a new picture this afternoon.
As for my other buildings, the Hagestede Apartments are still being tested and the other ones are about to enter the scrutinizing phase :)

cammo2003

Ah, good, something that should give the Tucson and Prentiss office buildings some more competition. As much as I like those buildings, they grow like the plague!

spa

I really like the new office tower! You nailed the glass just right; busy enough to be interesting but vague enough to fit in. Bravo.

CasperVg

Looks great! I really love that Gardena-building!
