@iamgointoeatyou: I guess I would have voted difference in the competition if I had seen that mosaic before ...  :-[

@jacqulina: If it comes to rural and (not important which) water you're the one who creates the masterpieces ...  ;)

@burgemeestertijn: Seems to be you need to be dutch to build such a perfect canal seen ...  :D

From an unfinished map of mine. I am not sure if I ever will finish that map as I think I have to learn how to BAT to finish that map ...

enjoy ...

This one made it into the SC4D Picture Competition Hall of Fame:

Have fun!

Great canals everyone.     I must have 3 or 4 different canal styles in my plugins folder and have yet to use any of them in my cities.  &mmm

I was browsing through the "Show us your..." board and found this thread which seemed a bit neglected.  Some great canal pics from you all - very impressive.

A few months back I created an Amsterdam themed city in West End called Kingly.  It's the most satisfaction I've had yet from the game so thought this would be a good place to share some pics from the canals in that city:

I hope you enjoy.

This shot makes use of jeronij's Urban Canal Set, but I use them to make a river:

Wonderful picture Dan, your river turned out very well

paroch, your recreation of Amsterdam is stunning! It looks very close to the real thing  &apls

@dsrwhat316: Nice one - but is the terrain left to the canal deeper then the canal?  &Thk/(

@paroch: Well, you sure know how to build these - I especially like the church on the canal!  &apls

@ussagus: Very atmospherically!  :thumbsup:

An older one by me - I am not sure if I showed it here ...

It won four round in the Picture competition over at Simforum.de untill it was beaten in the very last round before the HoF (rules are a bit different there ... )

Have fun!

Bernhard

Do you mean the trench for the sunken highway? If so, then yes; it is meant to drop lower than the bottom of the canal.
