To be sure, this question has been asked a hundred times before. So I am somewhat dense  ()what() but is there a tool or a way that will scout the plug-in folder and list all the missing dependencies? I still get some brown boxes..

And while I have your utterly divided attention: my SC4 installations disk are old and scratched. Orderering the game from a US site incurs serious fright charges (I now live in a remote region called Belgium that may soon disappear from the map altogether). Thus I wonder: does anyone know a site where you can order & download the SC4 Rush Hour game?

Thankfully,

Dont know about the dependances, but you should be able to order the game from Germany, France or the Netherlands if its unavailible in Belgium alltogheter(id guess you can find it in any of the larger cities). the same version is sold through all of europe so you will get the same languages(its a multi language release) aslong as you buy/order it in europe. Shipping shouldnt be to bad from your neighbouring countries.

I think EA-Games might have it in their online store too, if you would rather download it, they seem to have most of their games there.

Cheers

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it

To answer you first question, no there isn't a tool to list all missing dependencies as such. You should always read the Readme for every lot and check that you have all that are needed. You can query any lot with a brown box and post a picture here to ask what is missing.
Amazon - there is amazon.fr and amazon.co.uk - sell RH. I also found a copy at a low price in Carrefour in Brittany. They are still available and Belgium isn't THAT remote $%Grinno$%

Actually there's a reasonable chance that France will soon own the southern half of it, with the north either declaring independence aor attaching themselves to Holland. Six months after the general election they still have not been able to form a representative government. Thus we are "remote" from the real world in more than one way..

Unfortunately not everyone is as thorough and includes a readme. It used to be that every download window at Simtropolis also contained a list of dependencies. Since I reckon this being up to the creator, it does not always happen. With newer files that marvel by Wouanagaine, the Cleanitol tool works like a charm. Wish there was a way to expand that little wonder to check the lot. &apls

find a place in your city or town and see if there is a cd repair shop, most often they can resurface your disk,at a cost of course
