Wow... I'm looking forward to it all!!!  Can't wait! ;D I see what happens when you try lighting dark surfaces.  You know, you can use decimals when you modify the multiplier.  The nosecone is a bit bright compared to the rest of the fuselage, though.

Wow quite a coincidenc you guys released that Continental as I flew on that exact same plane friday night! $%Grinno$%

Yoman

That looks ridiculous :P At least it doesn't have winglets, then it would look even more retro as you put it!

Racefan11

Hey guys where can I download all these aircraft, also, are they ploppable?

Yoman

Perhaps conducting some more research before asking would result in an answer. Yes they are plopable, and they are not available for download quite yet.

Oh, sex. Westjet ftw (if you're doing a bunch of -700's/-800's, is there another Westjet with winglets on the list?).

Oh, and with the A320's, there's a Lufthansa, right?

dragonshardz

eagerly looking foward to the release of that prefab hub!

And the planes!

Some polished aluminum sweetness for today's preview -- my all-time favorite livery, American Airlines!

The reflections on this livery were not rendered by the BAT or gmax, they are done from scratch by yours truly, in photoshop, by hand. One thing to note here, the real aircraft now has winglets, but looks better without them in SC4.

More of the -700 liveries tomorrow.

That looks really good! I cant wait to see more!

Travis

Just breathtaking. :o Keep up the great work, dude.

ShadeSlayer

That's pretty good, but a little bit of criticism, the aluminum on the top is more of a flat white, than a shiny metal..

Thank you cameron and Travis

That light area on the AA fuselage tail? It's called "bloom", essentially where the sun & sky would run together forming a very bright, unfocused reflection on the surface. Nothing unusual about it, you'll find a similar effect on any glossy surface which tapers toward one end. See these for excellent views from above (important point due to SC4 cam angles), you'll notice the entire top surface is rather bland compared to the horizon line:  Ref photo 1   Ref Photo 2

For Monday we have our first entry from South America, and third Star Alliance member... VARIG by Yoman!

more tomorrow

Last time I checked, the whole livery was aluminum. I must be on crack :p

Great one today Voltaire!

Please watch your language, off-color language is not acceptable this is a family site.  This includes acronyms. - JPlumbley

Yoman

Hmm, I really should make some more. Excellent work you've done to my original, the tail looks much better.

Voltaire

New templates going up in the NG exchange now Owen  ;D

shadeslayer: it's interesting, how seeing it from above (or below) looks really different than the side... only the main tube is polished (and the control surface leading edges) while the rest is pale aqua. It's different on different planes too; the 747s they used to have were chrome on the tail as well... and in the old days, the prop planes were chrome all over. When they get 787s (made of CFRP not metal) it'll be interesting to see how well they'll be able to imitate authentic polished metal.

For Tuesday we're having the first-ever released livery back for a much-needed update, with a demonstration of how it has changed since initial release 10 weeks ago:

The wing and fuselage meshes are substantially unchanged, however the vertical tail is totally reworked along with the elevators. The livery has changed color, and the windows & doors brought closer to real-world arrangement. More differences not visible here are the specific arrangement of the portside windows, and the addition of vortex generators to the engine nacelles.

Tomorrow we're back to more brand-new liveries
