Wow, Excellent work JBsimo.

I really love the roof texture, just perfect.

And the Arbor woods appartement is beautiful.

Hi JBSimio: First of all: I just LOVE you work! Please never ever stop batting!!!

Second: I was so stunned by the one version of the Swan Majestic Hotel with the pool, sundeck and the large entrance. But I've never found it released. So, what happend with it? Was it released somewhere here or on simtropolis and I just missed it? All I could find was the more "simple" version of the Swan Majestic.

Thank you so much for making SC4 nicer for all of us and keep on batting!!!
Regards
XiaoCai

Jack:  Thank you!  I'm very pleased with how this one came out.  Yeah... Arbor Woods might be a bit of a redundant name, but what can you do?  In naming these I was really just following the trends I had noticed in suburban apartments of my past.  It seems like they always give them these picturesque, nature inspired names... almost as if to remind you what they bulldozed to build the place!  :D

Tag_one:  Thanks so much!

Vivien:  Thank you!  Arbor Woods isn't quite my favorite out of the series, but I was happy with the way it came together.

XiaoCai:  Wow... thank you very much!  I'll keep going as long as I'm able to, nothing to worry about there.  ;)  Ahh yes... the suburban version of the Swan Majestic.  It's still sitting on my hard drive right now.  I haven't quite finished it... although I honestly don't remember why not or even what I still need to do to get it ready.  I'll have to dig that one up and see what it would take to get it out the door and into your computer.

Pat:  Welcome back, my friend!  I'm glad you like them.  The upgrading idea is still a work in progress.  I honestly need to just sit down and do some in depth testing to see if it will work the way I hope it will.  In the meantime, I thought I had held these up long enough and wanted to get them out as is.  The larger complexes can always come later as an additional option.

Well... I'm up ridiculously late waiting for the arrival of an international employee for the summer.  The flight was due in San Francisco at 10:52PM (Pacific Time, of course)... but the person who was to bring her here called saying that the flight wouldn't arrive until right about now at 12:30AM.  Once they get out of the airport, it's anywhere from one to two hours driving back up here depending on traffic over the Golden Gate Bridge!  I might still be waiting for a while since I need to get her settled into staff housing and all that fun stuff.  So... while I was waiting, I thought I'd try to finish up the Hunter-Dulin Building!  :D

Here's a look at the back now that the textures are all finished up:

And then Jon said, "Let there be light."  And it was so...

And Jon looked upon his creation and said... well... he actually just kind of gave a giddy laugh and didn't say anything because there is no one else in the house right now.  Once I stopped the excited, albeit rather creepy, chuckle of delight, I came to the conclusion that I obviously need some sleep if this is how I'm going to react to things.  Oh well... we all know I lost my mind round about the time I started making university stuff anyway!  :D

More to come...
JB

Nofunk:  Wow!  It's great to see you again, sir!  How are you these days?  I had a chance to visit this building recently (you know I live very near SF now, right?) and it really is a great gem downtown.  It was really cool to be able to walk around the roof garden and see some of the parts I just couldn't get pictures of.  Oddly enough... I'd been considering this building for months before I even moved out this way!

You're in CA now? That's awesome! It's so incredible out there. I'm doing really well; I just started working for the state, finally putting my planning degree to good use.

The building is looking amazing, but that's no surprise coming from you. The textures are spot-on and the lighting as always it top-notch. I can't wait to see this on the LEX!

Io_bg:  Oops... sorry about the jaw!  I hope it didn't hurt too much!  :D

Vivien:  Thank you!  The lotting for this one will actually be pretty simple as there won't be much room on the lot for anything else.  ;)

Pat:  Thanks!  Did I ever have a mind to lose?  Fair question... probably not!

Citycapitalizer:  Thank you!  I just need to find some time to get it exported... hopefully not too much longer.

Nofunk:  Thanks again!  Yes... I moved out here in October and I absolutely love it!  The weather and the scenery are just amazing.  Congratulations on the new job!  I'm glad things are going well.  Just be careful of that crazy boss of yours... I can never figure out what Jenny G is thinking anymore!  :D

As I'm sure many of you know, it is getting to be about that time of year for me again.  I'm hoping not to disappear entirely like I've done in summers past, but I'm sure things will slow down for the next couple months.  The Hunter-Dulin Building is pretty much ready to go... I just need to get a few final touches in and then render the thing.  It will end up coming in two pieces... and both renders are bound to be overnight ordeals.

In the meantime... all of us here at JBSimio, Inc. would like to send their best wishes for the summer months.

Click the picture of your choice and let the sprawling suburbia take you away... or bore you to tears... whichever you prefer!  :D

Enjoy!

Those apartments are hideous, in a good way ;). Very much needed for any suburb. And I can't wait to see the Hunter-Dulin jewel hit the LEX!

Excellent way to welcome summer Jon. I'll see what I can do with these (shouldn't be too hard).

Hello JBSimio, Jack wilds here...

Trust that all is well and good for you on the west coast... be glad and fortunate in the new job; as I am beating the bushes, the dead horses and the pavement for gainful employment something almost any thing, not having my vehicle and phone makes all the harder; reaching a crisis of 'not knowing what to do next'  %confuso  ()sad()  but I digress, not writing to cry or be a bummer  &mmm  ;)

At any-rate, thanks for the 'pheasant run' and the 'evergreen' apartments, they  will make good additional residentials for the sims to look over.   I'm anticipating the 'hunter-dulin', it should be something to study and appreciate.

Trust that you keep in touch over your summer months... enjoy  :sunny:

Geoff:  You're welcome... I'm glad you like them!

Pingangster:  Thanks!  I think they're pretty hideous myself, actually.  It just proves that I don't always make only the things or styles I like... I just try to fill the gaps when I find them.  ;)

Tamorr:  Thank you!

Matt:  Thanks!  I had hoped to send you a little gift for the latest GRV challenge, but I ran out of time... so hopefully these will make up for it!  :D

Jack:  Thank you!  And you're welcome!  I hope things will turn around for you soon, my friend.  I had a few moments of panic last spring when I was "down sized" by my employer of nearly 10 years.  I'm very aware of how fortunate I was to find something else as quickly as I did... the fact that it's in such a great location has just been an extra bonus for which I can be extremely thankful.

Io_bg:  Thank you!

Just a brief update to keep everyone in the loop...  I managed to export the tower section of the Hunter-Dulin building last night.  (Took about 14 hours or so)  It was just wrapping up when I had to leave for work this morning, so I won't know for sure if it was a completely successful render until I get home later this afternoon.  Edit:  Part one looks good in all zooms and angles!  Provided the first piece is all set to go, I'm hoping to export the other half while I sleep tonight.  With any luck, I'll have this on a lot and out to the scrutineers by the first of next week (possibly even tomorrow if I'm really lucky!)

After that... who knows?  It could be back to school time... maybe back to college... Smalltown, USA... maybe even some top secret project that nobody else even knows about... the list goes on and on!  You just never know what the monkeys in the basement are going to come up with next!  ;)

Girlfromverona:  Oh heck no!  Where would be the fun in that?!?   :D

Well guess what?  The Hunter-Dulin Building is alive and well today!   &dance

This is a 4x6 CO$$$ lot... stage 7 growable or ploppable option as well.  Pretty simple lotting really... there wasn't room for much of anything anyway!  I should be able to wrap this up in the next 12 hours and have it in the scrutineering mailbox sometime later today.
