i have read that tutorial, and made my family.. but still, have it type and group values?? (TGI) ()what()

Prop families only have an ID, which is a hexadecimal number. They do not have Type or Group ID's because they are not actual files.

A prop family is simply a grouping ID that is used to place multiple props into a specific group to randomize the appearance of Lots. When a prop family is used on a Lot, the game randomly decides which prop to display at each location of that prop family when the Lot is plopped or finished with construction. Prop families appear as objects in the Lot Editor, but they are just a place holder for where that group of props will appear on the Lot.

that's what i (did not) want to read lol

so, i can't assign a family with an RKT1 in other exemplar...  :'( &cry2

You can assign props to more than one prop family. You just need to add the other prop family ID's to the property "Building/Prop Family".

Prop families display the models of the props as called by the Exemplar files of the props . Prop families do not have an actual file, so there are no model references for them.

What sort of mod are you working on that requires prop families to have model references?
