I claim this post as mine!

Good update, in all seriousness. Your industrial areas look great, good work!

threestooges

Great industrial area. I've tried to get mine to look somewhat realistic, but without much success... perhaps I just need to find a few good anchor buildings... any tips? Downtown looks good, and suburbia looks, well, repetitive (in a good way). As far as railyards go, I know there are a few good pre-made ones out there, I just don't know how well some would fit around that overpass. I would suggest incorporating a few small buildings into the railyard (services and what not) or some lots that already have train cars on them. There are a few interesting options ont he LEX under the transport-rail search category. Good update, and I'll look forward to more. Also, welcome to the Best Sellers list.

Welcome to the Best Sellers, my friend!

Your certainly moving on up here in the MD forums! I can't wait to see more of you work!

Teaser: St. Hutt Commercial Airport

A small airport and a rainy day... I gotta admit that this is my very first attempt at airports off any sort (except for the Maxis ones), and that I quite like how it came out, but nevertheless, I'm no airport-fanatic, so it may be somewhat unrealistic  ::)

Full update tomorrow, and after that I'm off for a 4-day trip to the beach  $%Grinno$%
Congratulations on getting the 100th post here, The_Hutt; this airport is part, but not the complete set, of presents you will get (including something in Pitcairn)...

Love the rainy effect Casper; and that isn't bad at all for a first try at an airport.

Keep up the good work. :)

very nice, what you have done since i've been gone. i like the idea of the community in the t-intersection. and that rain effect is really cool. can't wait to see the whole thing!
Wha??? Where am I? Oh, that's right! I'm here!

bat

Nice teaser there of the airport! Looking forward to more of it in the next update... ;)

Haljackey

I gotta say, that looks great!

Knowing how hard it is to make a realistic looking airport, building something like that takes quite a lot of effort, and its shows!  The rain effects just put icing on the cake!

Excellent teaser!  I cannot wait for more!

Best,
-Haljackey

So - I missed quite some updates, and now you're even passed the 100 comments and are in the bestsellers. Well deserved by the way. You're suburbs are splendid, I like them very much. I used to have all those "boerderettes" also in mine, and loved them, but somehow my recent suburbs look very different  %wrd

Any how - good job casper - and I am looking forward to the St Hutt airport update...

Teaser 2: St. Hutt Airport
I've tried to put together a full update, but I've been on vacation for the past four days and I'm suffering from some CTDs atm; so you'll have to be satisfied with this teaser.

Small airplane preparing to land... if you look really close you can see the runway...

Notice: Due too some unforeseen problems, I'll have to completely redo the whole quad where the airport is in...

Casper,
Nice developments in this city. &apls
I'll read everything from the beginning on another day. Will tell you more after that.

Later, the same day:
I read it and am really astounded. I don't know where to start, so I just say:
Great work! You must be a lover of complex interchanges.... Is this in some way a belgian habit? I drove through Antwerp last week....
Really great detail.

One question: where did you get the ship in your rainy pic on one of the first pages?

bat

Great new teaser there! And the airport looks nice!

Looking forward to more...

The_Hutt: Enormous congratulations on getting the 100th post, and your present is still waiting...  ::)
Threestooges: Well I usually totally grow my industrial area's, and sometimes plop one or two building. Most of Jesstar's and SG's industrials are really good.
Thundercrack: Thank you, and thanks for moving it that quickly aswell  ()stsfd()
Bat / Art128 / Maarten /Jjune: Thanks alot!
Travis: Hehe, maybe you'll like this one even more...
Haljackey: Good to see you pop in here, thanks alot!
Sebes: Bedankt!
Alfred.Jones: When I typed that, I just returned; but thanks!
FrankU: Thanks alot, I quite like interchanges indeed. The ones here aren't really that complex (except for the inner-interchange dwellers one). The ship came from Cockatoo's Hong Kong Marina set  ;)
Bat / Art128: Thanks again!
South Park: Always good to see new people, thanks alot!

Update 6: St. Hutt Airport (v2)
Well, as I have noted in the prior teaser, the whole quad where the airport was in had been corrupted, so I had to do it all over again, and decided to upgrade the whole thing while I was doing it  :D
The lots used as dividers are from my personal collection, and do not represent my lotting capabilities (do I dare to say that?!).
All of the airplane lots in this update have been lotted by Travis, and have not yet (but they should be soon) released.

The main entrance to the complex.

More planes

Low-cost terminal, close to the control tower

On-offramp that gives access to the airport from Highway 2.

Highway 1 dives under the runway

More airplanes

Air France plane, and an unoccupied spot.

A picture that clearly shows how unrealistic this airport actually is...

Iceland Air planes that are boarding...

Well, that was it for this update. I have to agree it took awhile, but you got two teasers in the meanwhile...  ::)
