Great!   I've been looking forward to this one for quite some time, Casper.  You have demonstrated the ability to blend healthy industrial areas and nice suburbs.  The houses you have chosen go together very well, and the canal definitely adds some character to the suburbs.  Oh, and one more thing:

More quaint suburbs, but it is soon to change, due to Highbury Transport Comitee Plans to build another station around this area.

I'm curious about that 3x3(?) residential that includes the two diagonal houses.  Where did you get that?  It looks very good in this pic.  Unfortunately, it sounds like "eminent domain" may get the best of it when the station gets built.

As I announced in today's update, (here), the construction of a large, international airport was underway.. Well then, it has been finished, and will (along with it's surroundings) be showcased in the next update.

Here's something to keep you teased...

Click the picture for an indentical night-picture. It's worth it!

At the same moment when I finish mine !  :D :D

Your airport look good my friend, great disposition of the terminals.

The walkways in the left look good too ! great use of trees.

The only thing is that there's always the same plane, 3 Lufthansas in the bottom, 2 KLMs in the middle  :(

That's a great new teaser (or teasers)...
The night view and day view of your airport, which is looking great, are wonderful!!!

Looking forward to a new update...                                                                                     ...or to some new teasers...

bat: Thanks alot, I'm quite fond of Plymouth myself.
threestooges: Oh no.. you know my stance on overview pictures, but you really had to request it, didn't you? I kind of forgot it this time, but I might include one in the next update, or perhaps a small teaser. The Highsburian Council is a big fan of all kinds of statistics, to my knowlendge there's even a "Ammount of cats bitten my aligators that escaped from the Mayor's Lawn per square mile" statistic.
mrtnlrn: No you didn't, you absolutely didn't spot anything that would be named FLUPs.. Forget about it! Okay, you're right.. It's the FLUPs I'm glad you enjoyed the update.
JoeST: I was gone? I'm glad that you peeked in here again, thanks!
metarvo: I'm glad you liked the update. That 3x3 housing set is actually part of the CP 19th Century Housing Pack that I've been using all over, but they can be quite tricky to grow.
art128: Thank you!
Simpson: I'm glad you liked it!
Schulmanator: I hope you checked your luggage already. Thanks!

Update 20: NAX - Victoria International Airport
As you all know from the latest teaser and update, Highsbury was in the process of building it's own airport, controlled by the Highsbury Transit Committee. Well, that airport and most of the area around it have now been finished. It was named Victoria International Airport (NAX), built by generous contributions by one Nathaniel "Nate" Dita. Though it bears the name of the nearby city, the airport code was done in honour of its benefactor whose donations of time and money have worked to open the region to the world, and has ensured that the region will not slip into obscurity.

I assume you would like some pictures?

A Lufthansa plane is currently board, and is heading for Paris later today.

A few other planes boarding and getting ready for take-off.

It seems that the airport is attracting the really wealthy. This is one of the first times I had a §§§-residential growing in Highsbury.

Typical Highsburian Suburbs, but it seems new building styles have began to take over the older structures.

More suburbs and near the local Transport Comittee Office and close to the Victoria Airport.

Another wealthy inhabitant near more suburbs.

A pleasant boulevard sided by suburban cottages.

NAX' Main Entrance, near Ted Healy Park and an International Railway Hub.

Give me more suburbs?

Give me more boarding airplanes?

NAX' Double Runways.

And a night picture to close this update off.

Hey! An update after only one teaser.. this must be one for the History Books!
I hope you've enjoyed reading this update, and that you'll be waiting for the next!

That are great new pictures of the airport! Wonderful work on another wonderful update!
Looking forward to more ...
(perhaps an update after no teaser??)

Nice update there Casper.  I do like the look of your airport - some nice touches.  I am just in the process of building one myself, so your one is interesting for me to see.

And the boulevard with the housing is also very nice.

I know your stance on overviews, but it still doesn't hurt to ask. I like the airport. Nice dedication too. Some nice pics of it too. Out of curiousity, is that large structure off to the left of the third pic a house? The surrounding neighborhoods seem to be popular with the rich folks. Must be the easy access to the various modes of travel. The parks and boulevards look good too. They're clean and reasonably detailed without looking crowded. Whether it's a teaser or an update, I like seeing what you're coming up with (though I like the updates over the teasers, heh heh).

This airport look good my friend, the layout is nicely done.
Maybe the runway are a bit too close to houses, but it's my opinion.  &apls &apls

Ahh.. wishful thinking! Maybe another time, bat, who knows?

I did some Christmas shopping today so there wasn't much time for an update, but enough leftover spare time for a (nice) teaser.

It may not have been very clear in the previous update, but Highsbury Amersham, where the airport is located, is also the centre of a booming industrial estate. Slowly but surely the suburban development around the airport is overtaken some of it's developments, much to the grief of local businessmen and industrialists. The wealthy inhabitants in the suburbs gave more bribes than the companies did though, so the decision was easy for the Council of Deputies.

Well that's not something you see every day here... lots of industry! Still, you make industry look great!
