Hello Tag One, Jack wilds here...

This is looking really promising...

about the only thing I'd add is either color on a corner or an a part of the wall or entry that relates to the company name... or <theres more  ???>

around the entry or a corner or along the base would be a stone of some sort.  A project similar to yours in the NE industry park used a lime or field stone to its green/prairie/post mod appearance.  The entry is looking promising, will the window glass have a tint? I'd make a lite green hue it will go good with the emerging color scheme.

Then to boot if I am not being so bold is a possible name... here in the fox valley is company called 'plexus' a large out fit that makes circuits, CBs, PLCs, and other electro-electronic stuff... or a flexo paper printing operation called 'flexus' fictional but also similar to one of many printing companies here in the valley or...  &idea at any rate thoughts for inspiration

I'll stop here,  :satisfied:

Hi! Can you still remember the building on the previous page? Well, I resumed working on it and I changed quite a few things. Here's how it looks in game now.

I'm quite satisfied with the result, but if you have any suggestions please let me know :)

io_bg

I have no suggestions, I think it's perfect! &apls

i only have 1 suggestion, please make more!   your industrial bats excellent, along with your res. bats as well.
i like the use of the angled receiving doors and the use of the angled truck works out very well.

projectadam

I do not know anything about the design side of things so I do not know how easy or feasible this would be to do. Looking at the size of the trailer it looks like the streetlight and grass would be in the way if someone were using that first loading bay. Could you make the grass flush with the diagonal side of the building or move the light and grass up to the front corner of the building.

I still think this is incredible lot and think it would look great in any of my cities

Hello Tag One, Jack wilds here...

I like the 'Rena Electronics', the color scheme, the front with its entry, and the angled shipping bays look good too... how does it look in lights?...

any inspiration/progress on the biege ind-structure, -or was it scrapped for the 'Rena E' version, because that one was also looking promising... particularly the entry, it reminds me of a telephone company shop/offices here.  hope all my previous suggestions weren't over the top ...  ::)

Looking very nice already, but I do have some suggestions. :) I agree about the grass strip and the streetlights next to the building - you don't really need the latter anyway, as the lights would be mounted on the wall in a RL scenario. Add one or two more along the fence, this should be more than enough. Also, relocate the parking spots for the cars. It looks odd that the cars are parked at the far end of the lot, while the main entrance is located at the front. Maybe some workers have parked the cars there, but I doubt the executives and visitors would like to navigate around the trucks and walk across the whole yard. Maybe you can sacrifice a bit of the greenery at the entrance for additional parking. Finally, I think two forklifts should be enough, and maybe you'll find some other freight props - I can't help to think that those you placed along the fence are cement bags or something like that. ;) I do like the clean layout, though, and the flora creates a very nice atmosphere in the otherwise rather boring industrial areas.

Io_bg, Thanks  :)

Jmdude1, Thanks, I surely will make some more I-HT buildings. And when I'm finished with I-HT I'll start on some dirty industrials  ;)

Projectadam Thanks for your comment. I made the made the entrance road a bit wider. I removed the grass and the light. In stead of the light I rerendered the model with a light attached to it :)

Jack, Thanks mate! Your advice is always appreciated and is a great source of inspiration to me ;) The previous building is kind of scrapped, but some elements like the entrance will be used on future projects.

Andreas, Thanks. I added a small carpark in front of the building. As for the props, I think I'll bat some freight props myself in the future. Jess' props are great but I would like to have some more variation. :)

The redesigned entrance area looks great! I'd enjoy having my lunch break there. :)

Looks good.  I really like the odd shape of the bays; adds some visual interest.

Only one minor nitpick; the new entrance area has wooden decking?  hmmm... I would have thought brick or stone, not wood.  Just me...  %confuso

Actually, this is not that uncommon - I've seen such a wooden decking at a company's office entrance once or twice.

Hello Tag One, Jack wilds here...

I like this version...  the fixes made it more agreeable, even the wooden decking for the entry.  Wooden decking for entries to offices, retail, semi-industrial were a trendy thing for a while here in the northwoods particularly during the early ninties.  Now its usually concrete that is stained or stamped or plain... or if its a rather upscaled place it would be stone, brick, or pavers...  ;)

Andreas, Thanks. I'm glad you like it!

Jeff, Thanks. The wooden decking is indeed not very common, but I've seen it several times. If maintained properly it will look great for years and it surely has more allure that brick or (even worse) concrete and asphalt pavement.

Jack, Thanks!  :)

I'll be off till Sunday to meet with some of my friends from the BSC. It's time for our yearly meeting. I won't upload a beta version until at least Monday (if I'm starting to get sober by that time). And besides that I'm way too scared that Barby will use my model as example while explaining here scary tools  :D

Hi there, I'm back in NL again. At the BSC meeting I spoke with Arne (tram master Vester) and he had some suggestions for this building. I changed the lot and the building a bit. The biggest difference is that the entrance to the loading docks is now much wider so that the trucks have some more space. Here's a small picture from the LE:

very nice work once again &apls

looks much better this version

Only thing missing (in my opinion) are some rubbish skips.

Other than that I look forward to its release

Thanks for your comment TTC  :)

I woke up early this night and could catch sleep anymore, so I went to my PC. I wasn't really in the mood for batting a building and especially not the cathedral (way to early to get a headache). I started with watching some pictures of the BSC Euromeet and it didn't took long before I got an idea and opened 3ds max.
This is the Pink Cap Music studio. The place where a young pink caped girl is in charge of making annoying ringtones for mobile phones  :P

I know, it's not one of my best buildings. But the result is imo quite nice after 6 hours of work. At least I'm a bit more tired now  :D

BarbyW

Ella will be flattered ;D I like this one.

Andreas

Hehe, great idea! You could tone down the roof a bit, but for such a quick job, it looks really great - and also unique with those rounded corners. One thing you have to add is placing Ella (with her pink hat) near the entrance of the building, as if she was just leaving the studio after a recording session. ;)

I like it, there should definitely be some hidden hover queries on this one...
