Is there a way to eliminate or bypass this problem?

After using the boolean, I would make a new spline along the edges and add an extrude. The boolean in gmax doesn't work all that well.

I've tried to use extruded objects and even boxes, which I misapplied (after some boolean) as a kind of casting mould ... ::) It didn't work. &mmm
Simply thanks to the fact that a lot of details are not visible on the rendered model, I've been able to avoid the boolean bugs so far. %wrd

However, thank you for your reply. ;)

After using the boolean you have to convert it to a mesh, before you can apply a new boolean function.

I can't seem to find a tutorial to fit my GMAX needs so here goes. I have been trying to make windows that arched in the top. I have tried many different ways, including are, 1 line arched to shape, attached to the window, 2 half arced lines attached to 3 3 sided rectangle(Funny), and of course a circle with a rectangle protruding half the shape to create an arch, this one doesn't work and is self explanitory...anyways I then edit spline and attach the arches and lines hoping for a arched window. I extrude to .2-.4, somewhere in there is fine. I then select perspective hoping for the best, it is like there is no arch in there at all., justa plain wall, if I go back to wireframe it shows that there is an arch. I am confused. I spent hours last night playing around wit the console and damn ed if I can figure out what the heck is the problem. It looks a little like ni_288's picture.
