Hi all and welcome back in Liaane! sorry that i kept you guys waiting so long, but over here its all nice and hot (30C/86F) so i'm outside in the sun trying to look like a baked turkey! anyhoo..here is the update!!

The Queens new crib:


The old palace.....I downloaded it once because it looked very nice in Liaane when it was a small town
But now that I found a bigger one and a more suitable one....it has to go!! 


KABOOOOOEEEEEEM!!!!!! 


And it's gone!
I teared down the shops and houses in front and the royal park behind the palace to!
Because I wanted a big square for the Queen

The Liaane university
One of the nation finest universities! many scientists did go to school here...even Siegmond Einstein!




Hotel Obscura
Hotel Obscura is one of the most expensive hotels in Liaane.
Only the riches of the riches stay in this * * * * * hotel!
the cheapest room is about 1900 Simeuro a night! ( note: this room has no window and is located next to the kitchen)




The Chistmas market in Liaane world famous for it's homemade eggnog and pig-on-a-stick.


Hotel ZaZa...here  Britney Spears gave birth to here son: Jack-Daniel.
One day later...she was caught..wrapped...and shipped back to here mobile home

You know, I love your building style and your pictures are awesome, but if I could make one suggestion, it would be to get a sidewalk modd.  I personelly hate the red brick sidewalk.  Jeronij has a great one where you can decide what stays and goes.  I have decided to make mine all low wealth (grey brick).  Just a thought.

This is the Liaane sports corner.
The ice skate ring and the swimming pool are loved by Liaaners.
The high rise between those two is the ministry of Sports and Health.(the MOSAH, Please do not confuse with the Mossad)

Some excellent updates since I was here last Fledder - I really like the way you are laying out this city - everything goes together quite well and is balanced by some good open space. I really like the small highway cut out you've shown before it disappears under the canal system!

Well, Liaane realy shows some growth!
Very nice updates and very nice comments. Biggest laugh: "The That".

I love that Christmas market. Did you notice (of course you did) those well illuminated houses. Great Nitelighting, but why is the rest (the other row houses) so dark?
The Queen's concert hall is also well done. Well done those arabian canal pieces! Makes that building very special indeed.
The opera square (back at page 3) is a gem very well done and good placement of the buildings.
The titan hotel.....wow, I would liketo stay there just once.
The renovationof old Kingssquare is very well done. Nice to see those seldom seen construction lots in action. You just showed there one of the Dutch authorities favourite pasttimes: Breaking up streets and reconverting traffic (hey, there is a traffic jam...DÛH).
The park is a great place to spend some time. I love that ruined builing, once again great use of a seldom seen lot.
The midnight star church is very well placed. I love the way you put it in a park. I always thought that church on a "terp" (what's the English word for terp?) but in this way it looks great too.

Anyway, I am glad that the great and warm weather is over as I hope to see more of Liaane now
