Alex (Driftmaster07): I'm sure you'll like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Jordan (canyonjumper): Thank you, Jordan! I hope the next version of the university doesn't disappoint!

djvandrake: I believe it will be a treat indeed! Thanks for the reply!

Battlecat: Thank you! Given the high quality of your own work, I'm sure your university campus will be stunning!

Matt (threestooges): Thanks, Matt! I'm glad you liked this first remodel, and I'm sure you'll enjoy the second as well. The building you asked about is the BSC Winterton College Lilith.

bat: Thank you, my friend!

emgmod: Thanks! It's not easy to blend lots from different creators in a harmonious, seamless way, so I'm honored to see you say that I've done such a good job on that.

daryl7478: Thank you for commenting! I'm glad you were able to find the station you were looking for.

Chris (GreekMan): Thanks, Chris! I'm glad you like what I did with the university. I look forward to seeing what you do with the Tri-Cities region!

Let me start off by thanking all of you for bringing Nyhaven up to 400 replies. It's such an honor to receive comments from people as talented as you are!

While I'm sure plenty of you are eager to see what I've done to improve on my layout for the University of Nyhaven, I'm not quite ready to show it to you. From what I understand, Jon (JBSimio) is wrapping up work on Clayhurst EP1, so I'm hopeful that it will be released soon. I have mostly finished redesigning the campus, but I have left room for the new buidings in EP1, and I have plans to expand the campus to make room for the new, larger dorms. If EP1 isn't released very soon, though, I'll go ahead and show you what I've already done, which has been quite a bit already. So in lieu of an update about the university, here's a look at some of Nyhaven's newest suburbs:

I've been trying to add more green spaces to the suburbs lately, after noticing that there wasn't much of it outside of the park belt that encircles mainland Nyhaven. Since I love the BSC park series so much, I decided to add a park with a cultural bent to it, with exotic structures and a theatre. More recently, I realized that I hadn't built a new golf course in Nyhaven in quite some time, so I added one in roughly the same area.

Feel brand new. Be inspired.

Great work on this park and on the surrounding suburbs!  Doesn't look like you're lacking in green space to me, it looks like a very nice place to live indeed!

Alex (Driftmaster07): Thank you, my friend!

soulchaser: I'm afraid I don't quite see what you're referring to concerning "flying cars". Thanks for your compliments on the mosaic, though!

976: Thanks!

Jordan (canyonjumper): Thank you! I'm sure today's update won't dissapoint, given the amount of work I've done on it.

Battlecat: Thanks very much! The green spaces are all meant to make my suburbs nice places to live, so I'm glad you like how this area looks.

djvandrake: Thank you! I'm glad you're so fond of the country club.

bat: Thanks, bat! I appreciate your kind words.

Tomas Neto: I'm glad you like it, my friend! Thanks for commenting!

Before I launch into today's update, I have some announcements for you all. First of all, following some unexpected events, I have switched MD unions from the League of Nations to the Alliance of Independent Nations. That won't make a huge difference to this MD, but it will affect what news stories appear in future editions of the Nyhaven Sentinel.
Secondly, as another result of those events I mentioned, I have decided to change my plans concerning my BAT project, the King Zachary Tower. Now, I intend to upload it to the STEX for everyone to enjoy. It really wasn't all that fair of me to tease you with pictures of the tower and not release it for public use. In the future, I'll be sure to upload every BAT I show in my BAT thread.
Finally, I've been working to make the revised history of Nyhaven more detailed, and I like where it's going. You can read what I've written so far on Nyhaven's AIN Wiki article.

Okay! With that out of the way, here come some pictures of my second remodel of the University of Nyhaven campus:

As you'll read on the Nyhaven wiki article, the University of Nyhaven was founded in 1662 as the first institute of higher learning in what would become the nation of Lower Columbia. My current version of the campus, which I am very happy with, attempts to make the university look its age, so to speak, with its central quad. The university chapel looms to the south of this quad; its size is a testament to the devoutness of Lower Columbia's population. The clock tower further south was added in the 1920s and is another focal point for the campus.

There are more modern-looking buildings in the southwestern part of campus, one of which is the university's performing arts center. The campus stadium is not far away.

Across Elochoman Creek, which I converted to ploppable water, there is the residential part of campus (which is currently empty of buildings but will be filled with high-rise dormitories once the University of Clayhurst EP1 is released), and the adjacent neighborhood contains Greek Row. I decided to imitate USC and put all the fraternities and sororities on the same couple of streets. This arrangement is unusual, as I understand it; most American universities, including my own UCLA, put the fraternities and sororities in separate areas.

Finally, here's a cross-section of the inner city, stretching from Saint Mark's Square in the north to the university in the south. Enjoy!

Feel brand new. Be inspired.

Fantastic!  &apls  It's wonderful and I love it.  It looks so good in your city.

Battlecat

Fantastic looking improvements to your university!  I really like how it came out.  You've got a nice variety of details in the area around it as well!

Kumba

I absoutely love the university, its quite the one of the most realstic universities out there. With all the small details such as the central courtyard, chapel, the bell tower, and surrounding buildings makes it more realstic. I would like to see the frat and soroities buildings, since its hard to pick out where they would be from a zoomed out view.

Keep up the good work!

Your university looks very nice but you have quite a lot of abandoned buildings there! Nice job! And also, a question for anyone here, how can you make the BSC paths appear? My BSC paths doesn't show the grass, just the sidewalk texture. Do I need any dependencies? Please send me a link. And also, woodb3kmaster, you live in California just like me! I just live a two hours drive to San Francisco. Anyways, good luck! ;)
