This all looks great. I especially like the open dome, something quite unique I would say.

Hi folks,

@sciurus: Yes, of course you are right. I always present my updates high rendered.

@carlos: Well, the Central Hotel is really a nic one and maybe one of my future projects. But it is a monstrious one! Think at least it would fill a Lot of 4 x 6...

thanks a lot for your kind comments. Today just a "small" update of the facade details. They almost took as long as the building itself ;)

Hi folks,

thanks for the kind words. Today just a small update on the hotel central. I just finished the corner in its basic details. No idea how to do the roofing... The whole thing needs to be a modular one, because now its almost impossible to work with.

Wow - Again awesome work! But as all your models started so great, it would be nice to see them finished (Or, even better, ready for download ;)). For example, what happened to the Bellevue or the Café Bauer?

Concerning the roof, I think that there are several possibilities to solve this problem:
- You theoretically could leave out the giant block on the left side of the inner court, as this space contained the famous Wintergarten, having a much lower glass roof.
- You could alter the plans a little bit, so that there is a glass roof above every staircase. Should also cause a nice nightlight effect.
- An iron balustrade on the roof top and some dormer windows being added also should do some work.

Here are some links to the original plans, if you don't already know them...

(First, you will have to register at http://architekturmuseum.ub.tu-berlin.de . Otherwise, you also can get the site via google, search for "central" and click on the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th picture.)

Furthermore... impressing work! Go on!

Hi folks,

thx for all your comments! And special thanks to momo95 for the link. It was really very helpfull and i found especially pictures of the backyard and the famous wintergarden as also of the inner patio where was the main entrance situated. So i was going on with the middle part cause i need its dimensions for the southern and northern wing:

The inner patio isn't modelled yet. I just needed its dimensions. The yellow box in the backyard is marking the dimensions and location of the faous wintergarden. Hope you like it so far.

Great!...I can't wait to see it finished!

Hotel Central looks really promising thusfar, curious to see how the wintergarden turns out.

Now I do have a general question, or request really. Which is to please leave out the Maxis texture when exporting these wonderfull BATs recently. Or any other ground plane for that matter as it tends to be an eye-sore when one is using a custom sidewalk mod, which I'm pretty sure a lot of folks do. Just my two cents, keep up the good work.

You're welcome! If you have some more questions about the old structure of Berlin, just ask, maybe I can help you.
By the way, on this Website, especially this thread, you may find some more inspiration: http://www.stadtbild-deutschland.org/forum/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=260 , the best pictures are on pages 4 & especially following.

For instance, why don't you rebuild the Café Friedrichshof?   :P

No, no, just a joke...  ;)
I'm excited for new results! Outstanding work!
