Jon (JBSimio): Ahhh, the moment they all fit together...I'm waiting for that moment as well! I just hope they actually do fit together! But, hey—if not, we'll think of something, right? Thanks so much for your great comments, Jon. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by very much, my friend!

Joan (Jmouse): Hi, Joan! I found the FAR/R a bit daunting when I first started playing with it, as well. I guess I'm like that with anything new until I get the hang of it, though. Now, it's like a walk in the park! And I know what you mean about the strange networks, too—I've found myself making the most radical set-ups, just to see what it can do. Thanks for stopping in, my friend, and I hope your weekend goes well!

Karin (Lilojame): Hello, my friend! Actually, when I replied to your PM, I completely forgot to mention that some of them were in the NAM. Sorry about that, if slipped my mind! I hope the update was able to answer your questions, though! Take care!

sim-al2: Thanks for that information! I wasn't sure if it was or not...now I know! I'll make the change in the update to reflect it. Thanks again!

bat: Thank you, so much, my friend!

Heading out to get the Christmas tree this afternoon, so I'll likely be away for a while. So, without further delay...

DECEMBER 6

Playing with some diagonals a bit. I really love the Jean Canfield Building, made by spa—the one on the far left. It'll be popping up again probably in different places and contexts, I just love how it looks!

Enjoy your Saturday!

Simpson

The last update is very good
Nam curves are fantastic, it's more réalistic.
The last picture is incredible, as well my friend.
Looking forward to the next update

Great picture again, Dustin!   &apls  (especially that pharmacy on the corner... :D )

I also really like that building by Spa.  As a matter of fact, you'll probably be able to see it along High Point Road sometime this month!  ;)

Enjoy the tree!

Oh yes, the Jean Canfield building is a real beauty. Good choice, I must say.
The FAR(R) Walkthrough was very informative. I am wondering if I could copy it to the Wiki as a tutorial, with credit and a link given, of course.

I can't wait for December 7, and 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.. Well, it's too bad December has to end someday,

Excellent, Dustin! You have presented us another fantastic teaser, per the usual at CoM.  I definitely approve of diagonals.  When used correctly, they add so much detail and variety to a city.  For an example of this, please view the CoM Teaser shot posted on December 6, 2008.  :)

Oh yes, you're venturing into some unusual building combinations and, not surprisingly, making them look great. I like the trees in the upper center - they break up the "brick-and-concrete jungle!"

See ya' tomorrow...

Hi Dustin,

It's hard to keep up with the speed of your updates at the moment!  I'm impressed with your "31 days" pictures - each one is showing us a different element of your SC4 skills, and showing them off very well indeed if I may say.

Your use of FARR is superb and you've certainly got the diagonals cracked as well!

Great stuff and I suspect more to come.

All the best

Paul

David (Simpson): Thank you so much, David!

Jon (JBSimio): Like I said, I'm with you on the Canfield Building—and all of them by spa, actually. I can't wait to see how it turns up on High Point Road, too! Your work always inspires me! Take care, my friend!

Casper (caspervg): Thank you so much your kind words, and the offer to have the FAR/R update in the Wiki as a tutorial! Consider this an open approval to use anything from Marathon you see fit in the Wiki, as I'd love to help out wherever I can! You're doing a such a wonderful service to the community, both there and here at SC4D. Thanks so much!

Pat: Thanks, my friend!

metarvo: Hey, thanks! I have a bit of trouble with the diagonals, if I'm honest. It takes a bit of playing around with them for me to come up with something I'm happy with, but I think I'm getting the hang of it now! It's always great to see you here—thanks for coming by and for your wonderful comments!

flyinbird93: Thank you!

Joan (Jmouse): Hi, Joan! I find that the placement of trees in certain places is essential for bringing life to what could otherwise be a dull picture. Granted, I'm not saying that I know what I'm doing or anything like that! I'm merely trying to emulate some of the fine work that can be seen all over SC4D. Thanks so much for your continued support, Joan—it means a lot to me!

bluesinjid: Thank you, bluesinjid! I appreciate it!

Karin (Lilojame): Thanks, Karin! It's always a pleasure when you stop by Marathon!

Paul (paroch): Hi there, Paul! It is kind of hard to keep up with the whole "31 Days..." thing. I find myself trying to keep track of what's going on! Thanks for coming in and expressing such kind words, my friend! Hope to see you around again soon!

Arthur (art128): Thanks so much, Arthur! I'm glad you enjoyed them!

bat: Danke, my friend!

We'll get today's picture out of the way...

DECEMBER 7

I thought I'd throw a mosaïc in for good measure!

We recently crossed the 5000 view plateau here in Marathon, with barely a month under our belts, and we're edging ever closer to 300 comments, as well.

I know that I've said it before, but you guys are the greatest! All the support that I've gotten here on a daily basis is absolutely overwhelming, I just wish I knew of a way to repay each and every one of you for it! Thank you all so very, very much!

Tomorrow, I have a bit of a surprise that I hope everyone will enjoy, so stay tuned!

woodb3kmaster

Terrific work, Dustin! You've really made those farms come alive. I'd love to know what custom farms you're using...

Keep up the fantastic work!

Feel brand new. Be inspired.

I can tell you exactly how you can repay me, Dustin.  Just keep up the good work in here, and that will be enough for me.  :)  You are really getting the hang of mosaics, if I do say so myself.

Dustin,

It seems I have missed a few updates, but with good reason.  I have been playing outside in the snow with the kids, we put up the Christmas tree and all the other decoration, and basically just doing family time.
I must say that the pictures are incredible are you didn't need me to tell you that, just look at the huge amount of replies and you'll see that everyone else agrees with me.
I look forward to tomorrow's surprise.
Robin

Love the mosaic there, my friend! I am glad to see that you are using your OSITM time extremely well! Mmmm, a surprise?! I love surprises (well ok, just the good ones ;) ) and therefore I shall definitely be back for more of your great work!

Have fun,
