SC4 snow not only for Christmas

I've seen a lot of snow mods here but the snow mod that I would really love to see is the one that's already in SimCity 4. The problem is that it appears only in Christmas and manipulating the date in your computer would be somewhat weird. So, I was thinking that the SimCity 4 snow should show up one season every game year. I hope it's not too much to ask  .

I think that by pressing Ctrl+X bringing up the Cheat Code box in the top left and typing "snow" you can manually enable snow anytime. You might want to wait till tomorrow to do that, because... today is christmas! (You'll have to type that cheat code again every time you start the game if you want snow)

You might need the Extra Cheats DLL if you don't have it already in order to do that.. I've done some searching, but I can't gind the DLL file available for download yet...

For me it didn't work until I got that DLL that un1 actually did find... so idk if you need it or not really.

It seems that the snow appearing on Christmas Day is a hard-coded function so making a mod for it to constantly appear is not possible. You need the ExtraCheats DLL that has been mentioned in order to make it appear at any other time.

It is a bit resource intensive because it gradually comes down the mountains during October and slowly retreats during January. Also, this snow is not visible in the Region View after saving your cities that are displaying it. The snow that is part of certain terrain mods will be shown in the region when you save your cities.

Why is it the simple joys are so hard to do... sigh  ? Thanks for the info on the cheat code nerdly dood. I'll try it out .
