Hi,
I'm desperately trying to turn Ferox W2W Pack into props for the Lot Editor.
I would like to have every building as prop.
I actually know how to turn buildings into props. I've done it before for my parisian quarter.
I opened the Maxis SC4 - Plugin Manager and then I moved the buildings I needed as props from Models to Descriptors -> Prop, then I was able to use Prokissimos W2W buildings for the LE.
Now I'd like to do the same thing with Ferox buildings, so that I can build W2W Lots for my city.
But I can not find anything that has to do with his buildings under Models.
Is the problem, that all the buildings are saved in an 11 mb .dat - File?
I don't know  ()what()
Or do I just look under a wrong name (I searched for Ferox, W2W, Warsaw, R$$ (etc.), files and some more)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure somebody knows how to do this  &apls

Greets,
Fabian

(I don't really know, in which category this belongs, but I felt, this was the right place for it)

Pat

hey fabian that would be a problem if Feroxx merged all his files into one Dat... Then you would have to use Reader to extract the model file, which if I remember right can be done but is rather advance pain in the behind... I am sorry I couldnt be of more help

Hi,
thanks for the help.
It's good to hear that there would be at least a possibility.
Is there a tutorial on how to do this? I've never really used the reader so far.

Or does anybody else know of an easier way?

praiodan just told me that the DAT actually contains prop exemplar files already, but they don't have a special name prefix or so. Try opening the file with the Reader and check out the names of the included exemplar files. With this information, you should be able to find the props in the Lot Editor.
