CHALLENGE 2: PUBLIC WORKS

I didn't get as much time to work on this challenge as I would have liked, so I'll make this rather quick.

This is the regional traffic view showing the newly created Route 20 extending from Route 10 at Hurst (B). Frankly, I felt like I shot myself in the foot by showing tile B in the last challenge; had I known that we would've had to start another road from here to the region's border, I would've chosen another tile to display. It doesn't make sense for the road to junction here and immediately cross the border, but it seems like the only feasible way to exit the region.

The Colony (G) contains a small community for the sole purpose of running the pumping station and sewage treatment plant. Water feeds straight from the Grand River. The office building represents the water company's administration and engineering staff.

The region's electricity is supplied by the coal plant in Brazosfield (I). Again, the townspeople work exclusively for the complex and the surrounding small businesses. Coal is shipped via railcar and stockpiled. The complex contains a coal washing facility, the reactors, a limestone scrubbing facility to reduce SO2 emissions, and a couple of cooling towers that air-cool the non-contact process water.

Your challenge 2 is well done according to the rules and the demands. You can now play on 2 more citytiles anywhere in your region. This will be a part of challenge 3. Make sure that you have at least 100 citizens each in all three tiles you played in (no population max limit).

Judging of Challenge 2

A.   Following the rail to the northeast would have given you more points with the new route. Since it did not access much of new terrain and somehow followed the same direction of route 10 for awhile, we gave you 3 points for the new route challenge.
B.  The power facility is too big for  a 15K to 25K population and polluting also, but nicely done and good combination of lots used. We gave you 3 points for the power challenge.
C.   Althought the water system looks a bit too big for the population that we asked for, we gave you 4 points for the waterchallenge, because of excellent use of lots.

A Total of 11 Points were added to your challenge.

Congratulations, fairly well done and thought over, could have used some more details and also some more detailed pictures. Maybe having added a few trees would have improved the pictures a bit. Good work and Good luck with the next challenge.
