my plugin folder is currently 2.53G

i constantly clean out my plugin folder and add new things as they come out.

i only keep in there what i will actually plop down or grow in a city, if it is just a thought, or it stays in there to long without being used, its gone.

Nothing too big for me: 500mb but my computer is very slow so it takes about 2mins to load the game, and to load a city aprox. 10min

1.85 GB for me... About 3 minutes loading time for SC4 and 5 minutes for the LE. I do my lots on a different computer with a plugin folder of 100MB... Of props and textures, some base lots too.

other than the 70 MB "essential plugin folder" (which are lots i use for all regions, like NAM)... it's empty. i have at least 10 GB worth of plugins / dependencies / mods on DVD though

when it is filled up, i have 3 subdirectories in the plugin folder... one for dependencies, one for the essentials, and one for the plugins i'm using for the current region i'm working on... and each folder carrying a plugin / mod / dependency is named exactly how its named on the download page on LEX / STEX to avoid duplicates from being installed

starting a new (small) region soon.

From 3.76 GB a month ago, my plug-ins folder is now 3.85 GB. It just keeps on getting up lol  :D.

Mine still only 2.1 GB. I'm working on cleaning out buildings that are never used to free up resources, but my organization was so bad in the early days that I find many duplicate folders.

2.6 GB at present. Actual content I've got comes to the 4GB from the LEX DVD + about 2 GB of downloaded stuff I'm not using at the mo. Loading times are quite low - 20 seconds to get to the region view (no startup vids) and then maybe 35-60 seconds to load a city, though one of my cam-skyscraper medium-sized cities (roads, skyscrapers, and little else, every piece of ground built upon) takes about 1 1/2 min.

Hopefully it'll be faster when I've datpacked it when I'm finished fiddling :)
