Edit: Welcome to page 7!!!!

That's what I get for not paying attention to when you update... I missed several BRILLIANT updates! There's so much to comment on, but I have to recover from looking at that map first. You are the best mapmaker this game has ever seen (without a doubt, and there are a few good ones out there, but you are in a league of your own!). &apls &apls &apls

Ever think about doing a Photoshop "pathfininding" tutorial? I would kill for your skills when it comes to tracing paths. &apls

Your port looks so realistic, as with everything in Ensenada. Great work with the custom lots.
I second emilin's request, show us how to become great cartographers!

Wow, you made a great update again. That map rocks!!!!
The seaport, the bridge and the motorworks are so beautifull... It's always a joy to visit your MD and discover Ensenada

PS: sorry to tell you: ENS is the city/airport code of Enschede, in the Netherlands...  ;)

Wow, certainly one of the best ports I've ever seen in SC, awesome (As is this entire Thread, so many new ideas and impressions out of so few pictures....)

Weathertop Valley. Part of the Weathertop National Park.

No updates today, because I don't really have anything to show. Maybe the picture above will tide you till I can post an update. ;)

By the way, Mordicar's going quite well, it's developing nicely, just wish the game would stop playing stupid tricks with my CO demand. :P

Replies:
metasmurf: Thanks!
bat: Thanks!
Owen: Heh. Well, Sydney's roads are not exactly top quality... Thanks, by the way! :P
Ralph: Thanks! Incidentally, Ensenada in Spanish basically means "cove", according to Babelfish. Strangely appropriate, since Ensenada itself is located on a large bay. :P
football_fever:  &sly CS3 stands for Creative Studio 3. It's the third incarnation of Adobe's Creative Studio (which basically includes programs like Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, Flash).
Snaper: Thanks! :P
Thundercrack: Thanks! :P As for a zoomed-out shot, I'll take one once the city tile's completed. It actually goes across two city tiles. :P I'm using the Japanese seawalls, which can be found somewhere... I forget the link...
bigberta: Thanks! :P
spartanB292: That's because you need a program like 7Zip or WinRAR to unzip the files (the files are .lzh, I think). WinZip won't do it. LOL, thanks! :P
kwakelaar: Thanks! :P Big is always better in SC4. But the details count too!
ejc: Thanks! :P It's all home-made, using lots that I made (quite simple), and stealing props from all over the place to create these lots. I've already won a Trixie for Ensenada over at ST... maybe I can add another one. :P
Alex (Tarkus): Thanks! :P
emilin: Thanks! :P But your port's better than mine... lol. All you really need in Photoshop when tracing those paths is a steady hand. :P
freedo50: Thanks! :P I might get around to creating that tutorial soon... big pictures, because I use a widescreen monitor...
sebes: Thanks! By the way, I think quite a few airports actually use the same code. :P It'll probably stay as ENS or I'd end up using ENA.
Asimov: Thanks! :P

I like it, if it's a teaser it's supposed to be:P Nice work with the clouds, roads and terrain

bat

I also like that teaser! Great picture!

toxicpiano

Some really lovely work here. Where are you getting those fabulous seawalls from (in your last update)?
I find that alcohol, taken in sufficient quantities, can bring about all the effects of drunkenness.

thundercrack83

Wow, beautiful teaser, SA! I love the windy roads. One suggestion, though, if I may: the new NAM curves may help the roads look even better....Not that they need improvement! I'll be looking forward to the next update!

Darmok

Hi Daniel,
Great seaport pics, particularly liked the bridge pic, with that smooth and curved bridge access! Nice touch.
And to tell you the truth, I've never read Hitchcock too! Seen some movies but never read it!  ;)
See you!

I forgot to add this with the Dom Perivor update. Silly me.  $%Grinno$%

If you cannot see the thumbnail, click here.

That is just a picture of the Hazaria Archipelago, not in a map version. :P I should hopefully have the Dom Salidar update this weekend. Pictures are yet to be taken, but the city tile itself is finished. Then from Dom Salidar, it's a quick jaunt over to Lucifer Atoll (technically off-limits for reasons "unknown"), from there, back to the mainland. ;D

And maybe, just maybe, we'll see a couple of "History of Savannah" updates.

wow....that looks like a lot of terraforming.  Excellent work.  The time you've put into this really shows.  That's a lot of delicate little movements in terraforming.

Great work
If girls quoted Winston Churchill and Aristotle in their AIM profiles instead of "Rent," we'd all be so much more erudite. That means "knowledgeable," but you didn't know that because girls quote "Rent" in their AIM profiles.

That map is absolutely stunning. Those may be the most realistic islands I've ever seen in my life. Great job, SA!

Pat

SA that map is simply amazing great job - pat

It's so realistic. Great work. I particulary like the Lucifer Bay. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

it's always a delight to see new pictures from ENSenada ! Mordicar countryside is wow-ing , simple but IMO so realistic ! The region view is splendid, one of the best I've ever seen, and the downtown pic shows a quite large and big commercial district

thundercrack83

Stunning! Simply stunning! I can't wait to see more of that downtown, my friend! Great teaser!

flame1396

the islands rock....

is it a custom map... because I'd really like to ahve those :P but I cant terraform worth jack
The most astounding and unique aspect of the human race is our fervent application of our ingenuity to kill each other, thus completely defying the near-universally proven fact that the ultimate goal of a member of a species is to ensure the survival of the species.
