No problem coming back form vacation when I have this kind of updates awaiting me.

The circus update was another one of those fantastic areas that can be found in Payens, the big roundabout and the diagonals look great, again some city planning on a grand scale.
Very glad to finally see some kind of map of the city although it is "only" a transportations map.
Your take on this city is quite unique, the landscape with the rivers and a bay ensures this will be a very recognizable city from above.

Talking about city planning on a grand scale; Your bid for the Simlympics will have quite an impact on the city. Just love what you have been planning for this. There is so much to see it is almost a complete overkill of bats and information, will take some time to digest. All the work that has gone into this is amazing. Everything from the logo to the different stadiums, I love it all, and will surely come back to look more at the details of everything.

Shadow Assassin

Something tells me you're about to update...  :D

Congratulations on your successful bid.

Hello All...no simcity update today, sorry  :P  Lately I've not been hanging around SC4Devotion too much and I thought I'd show everyone why....I have something else of interest to show off...a new creation of my wife and mine.

I'd like to introduce Reid...my firstborn son. He was born on Tuesday at 2:31pm. He is 9 pounds 2.5 ounces and 22 inches long!  I've not been getting too much sleep lately, but he has been fun to get to know. We are really excited to finally have him here with us. Anyways, I thought I'd reply to a few comments and show off a few pictures of Reid.

I will go ahead and fill everyone in on what is happening Osturland-wise...things are progressing nicely on the Simlympics updates...I've almost got the Simlympic Stadium finished. As far as the other structures, there is not too much left to finish except the outdoor swim facility. A construction update will happen next week sometime and then the following week will be the opening ceremony! After the Simlympics I will probably reduce the frequency with which I post new updates...at least for a little while (as I get used to this new fatherhood thing  ;D). Well here are some replies!

@Strechnitz - Well I hope you had a good holiday, I trust you did  ;) Thanks, I'm glad that Payens won the bid...I had been cooking it up for quite some time. Construction is underway and I'll have an update to prove it next week sometime! As for braking...don't worry, I am. It seems that I'm not getting much sleep at the moment so with my laptop I'm able to tie loose ends on my SC4 projects  :D Anyways, I'm glad you've made safe return. Take care.

@Eddie - Well, I was hoping anyway...thanks for your support and faith in the project

@Mickebear - Well I'm glad you've made it around to checking out Osturland! It is good to hear that you like what I've put together here. Please don't be a stranger Mika...come back and see us anytime  ;D

@Fledder200 - Thanks! There is alot of dirt being turned in Payens right now...I hope to update everyone on the prgress in the near future!

@Iamgoingtoeatyou - Well, thanks. I'm glad that you had so much faith in my bid! Hopefully the opening ceremony will not disappoint.

@Patfirefghtr - Good to hear that the pictures are back online. I have all my pictures stored on my University server so sometimes the server goes down (particularly in the summer when the kids are gone). As for batting something special...well I did plan/begin working on a sculpture/fountain centerpeice to the Simlympic Park that I forgot to mention in the bid. It is meant to embody the essence of the Simlympic Games...maybe that will fill the bill? I would describe it but I'll have to leave everyone in some suspense...but it does closely resemble a real-world park centerpeice.

@Iamgoingtoeatyou - Yeah images are here...I've been hosting them myself so that I can ensure that they do not go away permanently.

@Snaper - Glad to hear you like the bid. Yes the diagonals are from Prepo and they have not yet been released to the community. If you ever have any questions about specific buildings that I've used, just ask and I'll see if I can figure out where it came from. However, I have just been trying out the diagonals for fun. Glad to see that you have returned and have some new updates on the horizon for London. Take care and thanks for commenting!

@Kwakelaar - Well I'm glad that Osturland was able to help make coming back from vacation a little easier  $%Grinno$% ;D :D I'm glad to give everyone some perspective of Payens with the transportation map...but don't worry the future of updates include disclosing all of Payens, Ward-by-Ward. Detail overkill was what I was going for with the Simlympics bid. I figure that more information is always better than less information. At any rate, it did take awhile to come up with everything so I'm glad that the update has some re-readability. Again, I'm glad you've come back safely from vacation. It is good to have you back around here!

@Shadow Assassin - Ah...well yes there is a small update here, but nothing you were probably expecting! :P :D Thanks, I hope to make the Simlympics Committee proud with what I've come up with!

Well everyone, thanks for indulging me with a small update about a happy event in my non-sc4 life. As I said above, I hope to have something put together later this upcoming week so we'll see what happens! Cheers!

Woohoo, Ryan- biggest 'grats to you and Mrs. Yoder.  Reid looks like he's got plenty of SC4 skills already (well, napping after a 15 hour session, anyway).  My best to your family as you start out on the great adventure that is raising a child!

Ryan - I have two things on which to congratulate you since I was last here: 1st - the Olympics. I couldn't think of a more deserving bid; the Bats and lots you created for this are billiant. Well done!

BUT, that doesn't compare with the birth of your Son (I imagine your missus now knows what it's like to join the Olympics too  $%Grinno$% )

Congratulations to you and your wife on the birth of baby Reid!
