Hello, how're u doing?

I'm need of help about 2 matters.

1) First of all, I'm using simulator Z and I don't know if it is affecting my commuters path or not, but I've seen something very strange.
I've built a big city in a mid-size map in a central positin and then I've built a big industrial area in another mid-size map just north of it. Then, since most of the sims from the first city were not using the employment places from the industries, I've built in a small mapp another low-density residential only city on the LEFT of the industrial area. I've been careful in NOT building a ring for commuter loop.

INDUSTRIAL
AREA----------- SMALL VILLAGE
|
|
BIG
CITY

As result, when I've linked all of the 3 cities by railway, I've seen that 6.000 commuters move from the Big City to enter Industrial Area by train and then they move to Small Village and *POP* they disappear! there is no track of them anymore, even because in the village there are not working places except the ones granted by public buildings as hospitals and schools.
To fix this, I've been forced to destroy the part of the railway connecting Small Village to Industrial Area and have replaced it with elevated rail.
Any clue?

2) As second matter, after dat-packing files after my last update, I've seen that Coit Towers are growing back again, plaguing my cities, even if I have the CAM no-landmark-growing blocker among my plugins. Has anything went wrong while dat packing those files?
I bet that you will suggest me to NOT dat-pack that file and leave it as it is in the plugin folder, maybe renaming it as Z-blocker ecc to have it at the END of the queue.

3) Las but not least,  I've seen that there are some files that were required to stay in the main plugin directory without being placed in sub-directories. Can I dat-pack them or is it better that I leave them as they are?
They are:
BSC BAT Props - T1 Vol4
BSC Mega Props - JES Vol08
BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol 01
BSC_Reward_essential

Thank you!!

Usually such commuters going into nowhere will disappear in due time, when the simulator catches up on the real situation. Those 6,000 going to the village are based on extrapolated demand. The simulator expects a number of jobs to appear in that village. Then, once you play the village and are not providing any jobs in it, the simulator will later realise those jobs are not existing ones...

The blockers need to be in a subfolder which is loaded after CAM.
Do not put the blockers in the plugins root, since those files will load before all subfolders.

BSC Mega Props - JES Vol08
BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol 01
BSC_Reward_essential

The files below are normal prop packs, and do not have to be in the plugins root.
They can also be datpacked like any other prop packs.

  • BSC BAT Props - T1 Vol4
  • BSC Mega Props - JES Vol08
  • BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol 01

BSC_Reward_essential is the one I'd leave in the plugins root and outside of any datpacking.

RJ, thanks so much. Just some in-deep questions about the landmark blocker. I have dat-packed many times my plugin directory and I see the coit tower growing again after many times.
I did place that file called Block_CAM_1.0_Maxis_Growable_Landmarks in Z_CAM folder and then I have compressed every single special folder separately, so that they are not merged together and alphabetical order is respected. IN short, I have the following compressed files:
a-CAM; five Compressed (my original plug in), NAM, RTMT v.3; X-port, z-CAM; z_Euro Road Texture; ZZ_PEG seaports. If I don't compress that Block_CAM_1.0_Maxis_Growable_Landmarks, how folders are calculated in the priority process? After or before compressed files? Because, maybe, it would be easier for me to rename it as "Z_Block_CAM_1.0_Maxis_Growable_Landmarks" and just leave it in the main Plugin folder but after everything else, since I'm not experimenting any kind of trouble.
