I like the linear layout that the city is now.  Maxis with a slight injection of custom content is good too.  As for the teaser, amenities close to home really makes a neighborhood.

That neighborhood looks fine!  &apls For some more homes, you might want to download some by homefryes on the STEX and Simgoober's Residential MEGA Packs on the LEX.  ;)

Alright, here's update 4.

Diamond City :Update 4: :Population 70,000:

The old Maxis Theater highlights West 22nd street in Diamond City which is one of the older streets in the city.

Suburbia in Diamond City. Newer neighborhoods and developments are popping up all over the place, but you can't ever forget about the calm peacefulness of a good ole' Sunday drive down one of these streets.

The Opera, where you can find people looking through "funny binocular thingies" at "loud ladies" according to Stevie McGeorge, an eight year old from down the street. Or, better known as one of the cities best forms of entertainment. Also note the old Town Hall which turns out the city census.

Nice update.  Very colorful.

It looks like it's been quite a while since I updated, so I do sincerely apologize. But I do have a teaser, and I'm doing some experimenting with some zoning and it's making it funner to play more often so hopefully that will help with updating more frequently.

Oh, and to the comments!

Do you mean the NYC style ones including the ones that have the coffee shop lights? Thanks for the comment! :)

Thomas Neto;

Much appreciated! :)

Alright. I've got 4 pictures this time. I hope you guys like it. :)

I need to do a region picture because I've introduced two places, Diamond City, which is the largest city in the District, and Riverdale, which is a larger city in the District, and now it's time to introduce a smaller town near the two called Roland Heights. This town was founded back in 1898. It's made up of mostly middle income to higher income homes, however, a low income home can be found.

It is one of the more desirable area's in the District.

So here we go; Update 5!

:Update 5: :Roland Heights: :Making it in the Middle:

There is a rumor going around that if you follow the giant yellow arrow you will never be seen again. However, I'm following it right now and this simply isn't the case, I'm perfectly fin- (I wish I could find a way to remove those darn things)

The Radio Station Manager sometimes wonders if locating his station close to the High School was such a good idea. Especially considering how often it gets taken over by the teenagers that break into it- WAR WHAT IS IT GOOD FOR! YEAH! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! WOO!!!! GO ROLAND TIGERS!! Oh and.. Austin Stevens does not have an acne problem.. seriously dude.

People who live here are able to afford a very expensive lifestyle. Ms. Jenkins on the 10th floor has 10 cats, 2 hamsters and 5 gerbils. She sometimes talks to them about politics while watching CNN.

I have nothing to say about this last one, except I hope you've enjoyed this update. And my poor attempts at humor. :P Hopefully the next update won't take as long.

shaylan221

yes, the ones with the coffee shop lighting.  ::)

The NYC Apartment can be found here; http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1295 This link also gives you several other apartments like it. It's a great download IMO.
The other building with the coffee shop sign is on Simtropolis, I think. I'm pretty sure it was uploaded recently so check there. If I find the link I'll post it. Sorry I don't have it to post now.

Great neighborhoods! They're really developing well. Nice!

Looks good.  The color saturation you add to you images is a nice effect.
