Problems with Renaming a Region?

I just wanted to confirm that this would not cause any problems in the long run. I am starting a new region but taking files from another region. What I did was start a new region, named it and closed out SC4. I then went and copied my CONFIG BMP file and a few select city tiles from another region and added them to the new folder (of course removing everything but the Region Configuration Settings file in the newly named region.)

Everything appears to have worked but I just wanted to make sure that I was not setting myself up for major disaster in the future.

I think everything will be fine - but I would keep backups of the files just in case.
