A few days ago I visit Kastellet / the Citadel with a friend. The weather was very changing with good light at time and poor lights at others.
Clouds runs fast over the sky. Here is a some pictures from the visit:

The yellow building is place in the center axis of the citadel. Its the Commander's House.

At the other end of the axis is the church...

is the prison. In the wall between the prison and the church there were holes so the prisoners could follow the sermon.

The back side. The roof of the church is black and the red is on the prison.

Just an arty picture. Will try to shoot this again with some better light.

A bit of a combination of two previous posted picture from a raining day.

The windmill on the contregarde behind church.

Yes that is a real canon. I guess they block it to keep it clean.
Noticed a lot of leaves and dirt in one of the others that wasn't blocked.

Its not many places you get to see buildings from rooef heights. This is one of the two storehouses.

Was just a "little" fascinated by this roof...

... so here is one more.

Down from the rampage the sun got through the clouds again. The Commanders House.

The storehouse at the back.

The two of stokke / the rows along the main street.

A detail of the roof.

Two of stokke / the rows along the main street and Norgesporten / Norway Gate at the end.
As you can see the gate is placed on an angel on the main street. That is so an enemy could shot down the street.

Seen from the north. As you see the weather turn to the better, but it was time to turn hope for some late supper.

Here is another series of squared pictures.

They are taken on the edge of Copenhagen in Brede / Virum at the Open Air Museum.
Didn't get as much time as I liked. The museum close an hour earlier that I thought.

The houses on the museum is from around all of Denmark. There is also some house from Sweden The Faroe Islands and Germany, from Schleswig. They have been taken down and rebuild on the museum.
As you can see the light changed all the time.

From the open air museum you can see a chimney of a old industial plant that is situated along Mølleåen / the Mill Stream.
Its largest, protected industrial plants in Denmark, house to another of the museums of the the National Museum: Brede Værk / Brede Works:

If you follow the stream you see a few other industrial works: paper mills, knife work ect.

Here is a few pictures I took around the plant. The pictures can be view enlarged by clicking on them.

As you might see from this view, the first you see when coming from the west, its not a small plant.

A view of the managers house with the chimney in the back. The buildings on the sides are stable and wagon garages.

This is the view from the managers garden.

A bit closer to the plant. You might think time stand still walking around the plant.
The two clocks on tower shows ten minuttes to 7, but it is always do. Its just a painted clock. :P

Detail of the brick work.

Its a mixture of old and newer thing around.

The plant has some of the first reinforced concrete structure in Denmark.

The entrance to the plant.

A view through the stable/garage wings.

Beside the plant itself there is a small village for the workers.

EDIT: Added the first picture and the one of entrance.

Next to the Christiansborg Palace on the Castle Islet you find Thorvaldsen Museum in what use to be an old garage.
Its situated back to back to the palace church, that some of you maybe remember. (?)

The museum is dedicated to the art of Danish neoclassicistic sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen.

Its the palace on the right.

The spire in the back is what use to be the Saint Nikolaj Church. On the day of Bertel Thorvaldsens return to Copenhagen after his 40 years long stay in Rome, a flag was send to its top. That was signal that he had arrived and a big number of people rushed to the harbour to receive him.

Maybe tomorrow I will show some pictures from inside.
