OK, so this is a problem I've had that I've tried to live with and fix, including re-downloading and re-re-downloading all the dependencies, but now that I have other park mods that use the same texture, I've come for some help.

So, here's my problem: when I try to plop BSC parks pieces for the narrow path, it comes up as just a texture for actual path part, and no grass - in other words, the entire square is taken up by a brick pattern, instead of including what I assume is a grass overlay. The wide path works, but none of the narrow paths work, which means that all the other gardens and things that use the narrow paths come up like a square with flowers growing out of the bricks instead of a park! So, is this a known error, does anyone know how I can fix this? Or am I just screwed? Thanks so much!

Wow, no replies... I hope this doesn't mean by question has stumped all of SC4D. Does anybody have any idea what could be the problem? Thanks a lot!

I for one am not clear as to what your problem.. perhaps linking some pic's of your problem would get wider focus. For example there is a texture overlay that you may not have.. also there is an MML (memu management lot) that blocks about 90% of the plops and it could be you have one and haven't plopped it.. etc

You could try to check some of those lots for missing dependencies in SC4 Tool. If there's one missing and you post its ID here, I'm sure someone will be able to identify it.

I'm sorry. I close my eyes and try to see the problem you have but it's just not coming to me. A picture is worth a million words I think . . .

It sounds like a missing dependency or a texture IID clash.  Could I suggest grabbing the download and the dependencies you have downloaded for it and only loading them into your plugins and seeing if that works.  If it doesn't you have a missing dependency (likely BSC texture pack 1) and if it does show up right then there is likely a conflict with the textures IID's in which case you'll be best to follow the link in my sig to find it.

And yes, a pic would help tons.  ;)

First, here's a screenshot. You can see that the wide path and the grass-only tiles work fine, but the gazebo, the garden, and the thin path, which is the tile in the upper left, don't show any grass textures.

Second, I tried SC4Tool, but it doesn't seem to be working - I started it up, and some apps work, like the building databse, but when I go to the texture or dependencies scanner, when I click the "scan" menu button, it just sorta freezes.

are you using Vista? because I have the same problem with SC4Tool

You are missing BSC Textures Vol01. Download that and reinstall and you should have all the textures showing correctly.

Thanks - it says I've downloaded that dependency before, but I'll defenitely reinstall it just to make sure.

WC_EEND, yep, I use vista. I guess SC4Tool isn't compatible, then.

ford-prefect

HALLELUJAH! I ran Cleanitol, then reinstalled that textures pack, and it's working! Thanks so much.

Did you use these settings for SC4Tool http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=1129.0. Works like a charm on my Vista machine.
